14/2/2017 17:16 | Will check it out. Cheers. Like the look of POLY | gateside
14/2/2017 17:13 | If you are that keen on Gold, Gateside, why not go directly for Gold...the ETF SGLN is doing well for us! | nasdaqpat
14/2/2017 17:11 | Markets continue to be becalmed and our shares were not doing very well early on. In the end our investments market performed against the FTSE100 today with a (0.09%) decline as opposed to (0.14%) for FTSE100. Of the now 40 shares, we had 13 Up, 20 Down & 7 Unchanged. Stock level 57.9%. | nasdaqpat
14/2/2017 16:59 | All this research I have done, coming to conclusion that I may just build up bigger holdings in some of the companies that I have less invested in. The one exception being, wanting to add another gold miner. | gateside
14/2/2017 16:36 | 12 up, 1 level, 11 down.Yes TUI results gone down well. Need to build a larger holding there. | gateside
14/2/2017 12:38 | May have misjudged XAR so re-bought initial tranche. Up to 40 companies with stock level now @ 57.9%. TUI doing well for you, Gateside...another bad decision by me to offline it. | nasdaqpat
13/2/2017 18:37 | Decided not to chase SMP but may Buy some if it drops back closer to 300p. | nasdaqpat
13/2/2017 17:48 | 12 up, 2 level, 10 down. Out of the loop with the Markets, I see SMP were nicely up today. Did you buy any pat? | gateside
13/2/2017 16:45 | Added a bit more weight to our cash accounts by re-buying VOD and relocating BT.A and Adding further shares...so now 39 companies and stock level upped to 57.6%. Our investments market performed against the FTSE100 today with a 0.34% improvement as opposed to 0.28% for FTSE100. Of our remaining 39 shares, we had 22 Up, 15 Down & 2 Unchanged. FTSE100 a little disappointing relative to America and Germany but its Up wave has now extended to 7 days and @ 7298 has put on 02.88%...getting closer to 7354 but should probably still be regarded as a 78.46% recovery of the prior 13 day Down wave (7354:7094). | nasdaqpat
13/2/2017 11:55 | FTSE100 has only moved within a 15 point range so far today (7257:7273)...wtf is one supposed to do with that! | nasdaqpat
13/2/2017 08:14 | Sold remaining shares in BLT so our portfolio now consists of 38 companies with 44.5% in cash. | nasdaqpat
11/2/2017 14:10 | Well done Gateside...I hope you will soon come to terms with your loss! | nasdaqpat
11/2/2017 13:25 | Pat you did a good job. Thanks. Portfolio is +0.87% Planned purchases and possible sells did not happen this week for obvious reasons. Will catch up with the Markets next week. | gateside
11/2/2017 12:11 | I now think it more likely than not (odds perhaps 4/6) that FTSE100 will extend beyond 7354 during the next 8 days or so. My estimate is that the prospective 7094 based third principal wave will put on c04.50% and reach c7413...unclear whether there would be further Up waves after that. Consequently, our stock level may be a little light so will probably Add to Trackers early next week if prices are not too prohibitive. | nasdaqpat
10/2/2017 19:24 | YTD + 1.3% IVI went Ex div this week. | invisage
10/2/2017 17:06 | Our investments market performed against the FTSE100 today with a 0.45% improvement as opposed to 0.40% for FTSE100. Of our remaining 39 shares, we had 26 Up, 9 Down & 4 Unchanged. For the week as a whole our investments ended up gaining 01.42% which was a moderate outperformance against the FTSE100 which was Up 00.99% (7188:7259). Overall, our assets were Up 00.91% on the week. The calendar year performance table is shown below :- FTSE250~~~~~+03.74%~ FTSE AS~~~~~+02.30%~~(387 FTSE100~~~~~+01.93%~ Invisage~~~~+01.30%~ Videans~~~~~+01.10%~ Gateside~~~~+00.87%~ Started to defend again i.e. take some profits and reduce exposure by eliminating some individual companies (not trackers at this stage). Consequently stock level reduced to 56.2% from 64.6% at the end of last week. Our portfolio, therefore, includes 43.8% in cash. | nasdaqpat
10/2/2017 12:10 | Sold remaining shares in LGEN (PRU will probably do better short-term) so our portfolio now consists of 39 companies with 43.4% in cash. | nasdaqpat
10/2/2017 11:28 | Sold remaining shares in CPI (had a good run this week) so our portfolio now consists of 40 companies with 42.4% in cash. | nasdaqpat
10/2/2017 11:07 | FTSE100 has today further extended its Up wave to 6 days and @ 7275 has now recovered 69.62% of the prior, 13 day Down wave (7354:7094). Now it becomes interesting! Reduced on some of our individual stocks so stock level down to 58.3%...and close to selling 4 or 5 others if the SPs reach my current targets. | nasdaqpat
09/2/2017 18:35 | FTSE100 has now managed to extend its Up wave to 5 days and @ 7239 has now recovered 55.77% of the prior, 13 day Down wave (7354:7094). We could certainly get c7276+ tomorrow if Miners join the party. Quite frankly it all seems like a struggle to me and there could be a sharp move Down any day now. Consequently, I may well sell quite a few shares tomorrow if we get a few decent bids. | nasdaqpat
09/2/2017 17:06 | Our investments slightly underperformed FTSE100 today with a gain of 0.45% as opposed to 0.57% for FTSE100. Of our remaining 41 shares we had 20 Up, 18 Down & 3 Unchanged. Stock level reduced to 59.3%. | nasdaqpat
09/2/2017 15:30 | Also sold BMS, XAR & VOD. Down to 41 companies with stock level @ 59.3%. | nasdaqpat
09/2/2017 14:59 | Decided to sell FXC (China ETF) just in case market bombs cos it'll take FXC down with it irrespective of what the SSEC does. Now 44 companies with stock level @ 61.7% | nasdaqpat
09/2/2017 10:19 | Did anyone notice that FTSE250 hit an ath yesterday @ 18665? The previous high was set on 4 Oct 2016 @ 18607. At 18665 it had rallied 24.83% from its 27 Jun 2016 low of 14952. Unfortunately, our HSBA tracker (HMCX) is underperforming a tad having only managed 1790.5p yesterday which is just 22.78% ahead of its 27 Jun 2016 level of 1458.28p. | nasdaqpat
09/2/2017 09:49 | PNN's positive TU helping Gateside's shares...NG. & SSE have also been improving over the last few days...clearly I was a plonker to sell SSE. | nasdaqpat |
