03/3/2008 20:52 | Definitely some staff gone,I spoke to one today, referred me to the main office. | spark240
03/3/2008 20:34 | goodtime, Well the share price does seem to suggest something positive is afoot and something might have leaked, on the other hand it could be a suckers rally. At the moment Jarvis seems a better bet, but WNG may surprise. | z1gzag
03/3/2008 20:31 | zigzag have been watching jarvis was thinking of taking a punt, are you expecting a rise after the recent drop. don`t really want to get stuck with it, any views cheers in advance. | windjammer
03/3/2008 20:28 | Exactly what venlib wants zig zag..im holding and topping upp...The guys a nuggett. | goodtiming
03/3/2008 20:00 | I'm switching out to Jarvis for a while until things become clearer here. Who knows wtf is going on. | z1gzag
03/3/2008 19:58 | Any stock being sold was then snapped upp...You buying VEnlib??? Naughty boy...Such a tyke arent you??? | goodtiming
03/3/2008 19:51 | venlib you could always start by looking a contracts irespective of the price just put labour against materials see who is doing the work etc usually a pattern starts to form | windjammer
03/3/2008 19:08 | What is there to buy though Gerry? A big headache? | venlib
03/3/2008 19:04 | I still reckon the business will be sold fairly soon with SB using the cash for another venture altogether.....proba | gerry321
03/3/2008 18:24 | 2pots i have seen the ones that spend all week strolling round the site then Friday morning filling in the timesheet and then the afternoon counting the tools in the box. you can spot a good worker a mile off their jobs will be safe | windjammer
03/3/2008 18:16 | 2pots i have had 30 years in the construction industry i know the score | windjammer
03/3/2008 18:13 | Windjammer You understand it wrong. Venlib is closer to the mark and for you to use the phrase "all the ones that have been dossing around" do the staff of WNG a great disservice. It's easy to slate people from behind a monitor isn't it? | 2pots
03/3/2008 18:02 | venlib as i understand it they had 300 staff and they sent 100 up the road which leaves 200 give half their marching orders, you know, all the ones that have been dossing around, you are then left with 100 prime employes. these are the ones you give the productivity bonus | windjammer
03/3/2008 17:48 | I didn't - "SB will turn an easy 2 mil profit" is eactly what you said. They reported 120-130 staff and cut a third. They are cutting again and numbers aren't out but I'll bet 'significant' means at least half. Do the sums yourself - either way they don't have anything like 100 now 3-5m turnover isn't enough to pay wages for 3 big city fat cats, a nomad and a very expensive set of accountants (In fact it's not enough to pay their ever rising legal bill on its own). How long do you think the big guns will stick around trying to make something of wng for a wage of 40k a year? | venlib
03/3/2008 17:29 | venlib has it been a long day !!! i would hope they are left with more than the 10 staff, i used to operate with 10 men 2 mil turnover profit 15% = 300k so 100 employese well i will leave you to do the sums why do you always twist things around | windjammer
03/3/2008 16:59 | You didn't say 'turnover' WJ - You said PROFIT of 2m. | venlib
03/3/2008 16:55 | venlib the 500k sold at 10.25 got bought at 10.75 and i used to turnover 2 mil with just 10 staff for 15% net keep the overheads low is the key | windjammer
03/3/2008 16:49 | But if its all going pear-shaped, is it not incumbent upon SB to tell the market? Is he not now in breach of AIM rules? We can only go on what he told us last time, not the rumoirs on a BB. | eoc74
03/3/2008 16:46 | Maybe because they don't know about it Z. The market doesn't always reflect the underlying business and there's no accounting for some people's mindsets who just won't believe anything bad, because they don't want to. Take Rocket's post - 'they can't have lost a contract because one was never announced', Lol, doesn't that tell you something about some PI's? The market even thought wng was a great business for a while, ho hum | venlib
03/3/2008 16:40 | venlib, In view of the dire state of WNG can you please explain why the share price is going up. | z1gzag
03/3/2008 16:37 | Errr, WJ - You're stretching optimism into the ridiculous. Before any more cuts they haven't got enough staff left to turnover 20m (for 10% net). If they keep going you'll be lucky if they turnover 3-4m and that isn't enough to keep 3 big named Directors in nice cars and an expense account, let alone make a profit. Anybody who paid 10.25 for 500k just got badly burned | venlib
03/3/2008 16:26 | venlib`s news poped up just as the MM`s needed some cheap stock and it worked they got 500k for 10.25 | windjammer |
