22/1/2004 15:16 | I hear that good news is soon to be released - be ready !! | davejan
20/1/2004 20:17 | Ra Yes still in. Haven't really taken much notice of this one for a while. Just came off phone to a friend who suggested I don't lose my nerve. Apparently, there are 'strategies' and 'positioning' regarding the nature of trades, as you suggested . Wouldn't elaborate so I left it. I'm happy hanging on if she says so. | geeforce
20/1/2004 12:24 | What I don't understand about this one is why massive trades often go right inside the spread? I tried to sell just 45k at bid last year and was told where to get off. But there are often 200k+ trades going through at just a few decimals from midprice (with no subsequent price movement). Are you still holding, geeforce? I wonder who tipped you this share as a certain riser. Seems like a right old-boy's share going by the size of trades and the price of execution of some trades. | rarther
17/1/2004 14:06 | New highs and consistent volume... great to see | rarther
19/12/2003 15:15 | 75 grand trade at the mid price @11.75?????????????? | ogodno
29/11/2003 17:45 | Serves me right for not reading the accounts properly!! Hoping PGB will deliver soon though lol | nurdin
29/11/2003 17:36 | -nurdin -I agree with your thoughts, not as attractive as one would perhaps first think, but, nevertheless, they do have merit and not to mention that substantial cash pile. -as you say, still the potential to accelerate eps, but I would like to see either some forecasts, or perhaps further proof of being able to grow those profits substantially, before buying myself. | the prophet
29/11/2003 17:21 | Apologise...read pre exceptional eps at 0.625p to mean prior to proceeds of the sale..but since the operating profits were at £277k this cant be right.Back to the drawing board and my apologees if anyone was sucked into this.Nevertheless the company appears to have good products, management is now able to devote full time to the develpment of the business and the pipeline of prospects seems to be growing. And of course there is the cushion of near £7m cash which is over 40% of the current market cap (on 143m shares) Not as attractive as I previously thought but still the potential to accelerate earnings is there. | nurdin
29/11/2003 17:00 | Prophet thanks for your comments.I read pre exceptional to imply before profits from the disposal but I have looked again in the light of your comment and see that the operating profits were indeed 277k.I think I am going to go throught the numbers with a fine tooth comb now..the accounts are confusing to say the least.Cant understand what they mean by pre exceptional earnings of o.45p though..will come back. PS says preexceptional eps of 0.625p | nurdin
29/11/2003 16:54 | Prophet is right. If you look at the accounts/notes to the interims, they've included the 909k profit on the sale of the teleware division in profit on ordinary activities. It annoys me how they've included the disposal in operating activities when it's clearly not a recurring item. I'd be surprised if the auditors let them get away with that when they audit the full year results. Even if it's within the letter of the rules, in my book it's certainly not in the spirit of transparent accounting. Good luck if you stay in. I'm gonna look elsewhere. | wjccghcc
29/11/2003 16:41 | -nurdin, I agree these look interesting, but can't quite agree with your forward p/e predictions? -the eps figure that WSI are quoting , nanmely the 0.624p eps pre-exceptional items and amortisation of goodwill does, as far as I can see, include the £909K profit on the sale of the subsidary company -on-going profits of the actual business are £277K, add in interest on the cash pile and you get £369K which, on the average number of shares in issue of 164m and no tax charge equates to 0.225p eps. -let's say they do a bit better in the second half, plus, for the second half, there are only 143m shares in issue -so, for the year we are probably looking at 0.6p eps -on a share price of 12.25p, thats a forward p/e of 20 odd -or, strip out the 5p of cash (once the deferred payment is received), then we're looking at something like a forwward p/e of 12? -don't get me wrong, think WSI look an interesting proposition , and with that cash, there is a limited down-side. There is plenty of scope for them to move up, depending on what their growth prospects are, but they are not on an underlying p/e of 7 as per your post 31, as far as I can tell, but something in the region of double that? | the prophet
29/11/2003 13:55 | Suggest those who havent researched this company go to their website at: Check out their products and clients. All that for a PE of 9 with cash balance of £7.1m by next March. This is a wake up call!!!! | nurdin

28/11/2003 08:24 | ''... Workplace has seen improvements in the sales pipeline in the retail and transport sectors and continues to be in advanced discussions regarding larger opportunities with a number of major retail organisations...'' Now this bit looks interesting.A few larger orders and that could seriously change WSI earnings outlook going forward. Also expect them to make an acquistion to add to their software offerings enlarge their current customer base.If not, we are in for a good divi pay out at the year end.. | nurdin
27/11/2003 22:29 | Rarther...I am new to this share so will rely on your input. I have noticed there are some heavy weight Institutions on the share holders list including 3i.Do you know if the shares were bought recently or during the tech boom period? | nurdin
27/11/2003 21:59 | I agree nurdin, buy shares like this one now, shares mag etc always seem to tip the week after any resonable anouncement. look at CWV 3p when they made there announcement and almost no reaction, the next week SHARES draws everyones attention to the obivous and they hit 20p earlier this week. | stephen ritchie
27/11/2003 21:06 | Volume today (900k) not that big relative to the volumes which saw the move from 3p up to here... Think the MMs may have a few mil up their sleeves, but I wouldn't rule out more marking up! | rarther
27/11/2003 18:30 | On the contrary banjo..if this share comes into the radar screens of some astute traders or picked up by a few tip sheets the share price could rocket!Did you see that 84k buy 3.30? Watch what happens tomorrow! | nurdin |
