30/8/2003 08:56 | i'm gonna keep em peeled on this one, how much cash have they got anyway and what was the bottom line like after taking out the heavily loss making arm es | empirestate
27/8/2003 14:09 | No, not playing that sort of game. Ramping is pretty easy from whatI've seen, butit's not for me. Friend who works for a SB firm. Every month they have a sort of office sweepstake where they pick a small stock. End of month, winner picks up the local bar tab. They all wanted WSI she says. Perverse I know, but they don't get many wrong. She's given me some stonkers so far this year!(Not to mention the good tips!!) | geeforce
27/8/2003 08:42 | Who tipped you off? Hope it wasn't the bloke down the pub. | rarther
27/8/2003 08:19 | On the move. Upwards and onwards! Don't you just love a good tip! | geeforce
22/8/2003 00:00 | 30p here we come - so I'm told. Just got a few for fun. | geeforce
17/8/2003 14:50 | No interest in WSI yet? Only a few comments on this share this year (compared to 20,000+ on shares like MMD or OMH with a smaller cap and a higher risk/lower reward). This company bottomed at 3p a few months ago and has tested 14p... thats an easy 400% for not following the herd, and possibly much more to come. Trading sideways at the moment, but keep your eyes peeled for the run-up rally to November! | rarther
06/8/2003 15:42 | Afternoon. Not much action today. Any views on the large trades in the last few days? | rarther
06/8/2003 15:37 | Intra-day. 6-month movement versus Volume, RSI, MACD and 200, 50 & 15 day moving averages. Long-term. Workplace Systems International derived from Telework Systems in July 2003 after the heavy loss-making arm of the business, 'Teleware', was taken private by a director. What is left is a business which supplies bespoke staff management software and systems to a number of blue-chip companies in the UK, Europe and increasingly the US. Having floated in August 2000 and having traded at over 400p towards the end of that year - this is one of the worst victims of the tech slide. Having been worth over £0.7bn the shares have slid -98% to about £10m. It still seems to be a city darling though, if you look at the shareholders and occasional huge cross trades. With roughly £4m cash and a business treading the line between losses and break-even, the board's new '5-year-plan' for growth (not affiliated with stalin's 5-year-plans) aims to save the company from almost certain death in an industry still suffering from tight corporate IT budgets, offshoring and all the rest. With the recent acquisition of Labor Solutions International (at a rather pricey $6m) for sales synergies and increased exposure to the US market, the directors have a lot to prove. | rarther |
