06/7/2010 16:56 | Last year,Edison's produced a detailed research paper on WSI within days of the 2009 results being issued.Their exprssed views subsequently proved most accurate and in fact were more revealing on detail than the formal WSI statement. Needless to say Edison's forthcoming 2010 appraisal will be eagerly dissected by Workplace bulls, particularly if Wal-Mart do indeed turn out to be THAT North American client. | mudbath
06/7/2010 14:13 | Yes ARTY i couldn't resist and bought a few more, hope i don't regret it. Now back holding 75k. | battlebus
06/7/2010 12:28 | Yes, a big improvement on the positivity front as regards the wording of the press release. The online limits have also moved in a very positive direction. max buy limit 2,500, max sell limit 50,000 (idealing)and a tick up too. Excellent start !! | arty
06/7/2010 12:27 | YES we are at bottom now so no chance of 5p! | battlebus
06/7/2010 10:36 | The differential in tone from the CEO's 2010 prelims statement to that expressed in the recent (Chicago office) announcement is particularly notable. RAPID GROWTH....STRONG ADOPTION.....etc etc :++ accolades from Wal-Mart and the 2010 Canadian Winter Olympics. What next I wonder.. The opening is this Thursday. The key note speaker is a Wal-Mart Director. He gets to his feet to extol the remarkable WSI SaaS product;(hopefully)r No wonder I cannot buy WSI stock at around the current quote of seven pence !! | mudbath
06/7/2010 09:42 | Great to see him upbeat. | battlebus
06/7/2010 09:41 | EXCITING TIMES AT WORKPLACE SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL !!!! Not that you would appreciate this from tracking the S.P. Although-despite quite substantial post results selling, with no discernable buys-it has not been possible to buy WSI stock on line, within the spread, even in parcels of just 25,000,for several days now. News of the Chicago office opening now avaiable on the WSI site. "WorkPlace Systems supports rapid North American growth with new office in Chicago ==================== Chicago, July 2 2010 - WorkPlace Systems, a leading provider of workforce management software and consulting services, is opening an office in Chicago to support the rapid growth of its Software-as-a-Servic WorkPlace will be marking this success and the official opening of its new office in Chicago, at a reception to be held at the British Consul General's Residence on the 8th July 2010. A select audience of business leaders and local dignitaries will enjoy an opportunity to network and hear from guest speaker Mike Peerson, Senior Director, Workforce Strategy and Innovation at Wal-Mart Health & Wellness. WorkPlace Systems is revolutionizing the US WFM market with its SaaS model which includes; Labor Forecasting, Labor Scheduling and Time & Attendance. This solution already has over 100 customers across Europe, Australasia and North America. WorkPlace Systems SaaS solution focuses on rapidly delivering return on investment through better visibility and utilization of the workforce thereby enabling organizations to establish optimized schedules and track actual attendance against planned schedules. Viridian Power was one of WorkPlace Systems first North American SaaS customers, they took advantage of the unique speed and flexibility of deployment that SaaS offers at the Winter Olympic Games:- "WorkPlace OnLine was an essential operational tool for our company throughout the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. The system allowed us to effortlessly and seamlessly schedule our employees across multiple venues, while simultaneously allowing us to increase the number of staff we were scheduling by 500 percent over 3 months with a minimum of additional administrative costs", commented Joe Domijan, Logistics Coordinator at Viridian Power. Barney Quinn CEO commented, "WorkPlace Systems is excited to be opening its new office in downtown Chicago; we have made a significant investment and recruited additional staff to service our growing customer base in this location. The success we have enjoyed over the last year demonstrates the appetite for SaaS workforce management and we expect the strong adoption of WorkPlace OnLine to continue". Am I reading too much into it.....Or was is of much significance that a senior director from Wal-Mart was the featured speaker ?? If you can purchase WSI shares at around 7 pence, then do so;for that 50% still beckons.(imo). | mudbath
02/7/2010 12:47 | No worries- they probably haven't decided yet. | arty
01/7/2010 22:29 | Lawdy,lawdy...I quoted from the 2009 report. SORRY !! | mudbath
01/7/2010 11:42 | mud - I doubt it, that's a Sunday. | arty
01/7/2010 11:22 | ARTY, AGM = August 29th @ 10 a.m. Precedent Drive, Rooksley, Milton Keynes. MK13 Bit early for the Muds to make it from Yorkshire due to lack of Inter City connections. Prelims are better for re-reading. Hope you can attend as I am very hopeful that a more optimistic trend will emerge. Mud. | mudbath
30/6/2010 20:56 | Any date set for the AGM as yet ? I'm assuming they normally hold them at MK in which case I'll try to attend. | arty
30/6/2010 20:43 | Hope so battlebus. Five pence WOULD BE TASTY !! | mudbath
30/6/2010 18:42 | Calm down MUDBATH LOL my prediction of 5p will only be short term as we both know that revenues will increase and patience will be the key. Short term we may see 5p with a few sells. | battlebus
30/6/2010 18:13 | mud> I fear BB may be correct - Analysts tend to look at the global picuture and will (imo) not like it. Forget the turnround - The company only made 50K. They will not look at POTENTIAL jam tomorrow. The cash on the balance sheet should give some support. [imo & dyor - still on the back burner] | pugugly
30/6/2010 17:55 | NO WAY battlebus,NO WAY!! T/O TRIPLED IN N.AMERICA TO £1.5MILLION. +------------------- | An analysis of the operating profit / | | | (loss) before transfer pricing, exceptional | | | items and tax is given below: | | +------------------- | |.......... 2010 | 2009 | +------------------- -------------------- | United Kingdom and Europe | (624) | 67 | +------------------- | North America |...... 671 | (547) | +------------------- | Australia |........... 3 | - | +------------------- | |.............. 50 | (480) | Resulting in a loss of £547k in N.America being replaced with a profit of £671k. Just contemplate what all those additional contracts will do for WSI's bottom line- particularly when considering that the above dramatic turnaround comes from a maximum provisioning period of just 6 months.(++ its recurring!!) Word for word from the prelims:- "Both the opportunity and potential rewards are great. As we enter the new Financial Year our pipeline is substantial and growing." GAME ON !!(for investors with just a little staying power.) | mudbath
30/6/2010 09:04 | Think we may see 5p Mud. | battlebus
30/6/2010 08:57 | Hi Mud, Still got this one on my radar, but still notice the difficulty in realising revenue. It has a lot of potential, they are currently just in a terrible environment gg | greengiant
30/6/2010 08:52 | Utter indiference is the norm at WSI. The company remains reticent. Will go to AGM. Sorry about the 50%. The potential remains, imo. Over, but not out. Mud. | mudbath
30/6/2010 08:38 | Revenues actually declined by 6%. They achieved a marginal £50k profit partially due to a reduction in administrative expenses but mainly due to no exceptional costs, which at £2m previously, accounted for most of last years loss. This outlook comment will not exactly insprire a lot of short term confidence either "As we enter the new Financial Year our pipeline is substantial and growing. However, we are still seeing a very difficult competitive environment with many hurdles to overcome before customers are ready to make investments." Not a single trade in the first half hour this morning so the market reaction so far has been one of indifference ! | masurenguy
30/6/2010 08:20 | Well the results are finally out, as to whether we'll see the 50% increase in share price as suggested, neh PROMISED, by Muddy is a very big ??????. (o8 I had hoped they would delay publishing results until the markets had improved a little, cos sentiment is rock bottom at present. I notice they continue to be quite understated with their presentational style with a very low key introduction of the Infor partnership detailed deep in the report and still no specific mention of WalMart. "Another North American partnership arrangement was entered into with Infor, one of the largest software companies in the world with over 70,000 clients. Infor will market our Task Management product and we are now seeing some good pipeline for the module." Anyway congrats. to WSI for achieving a full year profit, let's hope it's the start of a more rapid rise in profits as the year progresses. | arty
24/6/2010 21:24 | And whilst we wait I ponder hopefully over the potential positive impact on WSI revenues from the Infor partnership.(and of course from OnLine) INFOR ===== Already a leading player in the workforce management space with more than 2,000 retail customers and over 5 million store associates using its Workbrain applications, Infor has extended its suite with the addition of a task management application. The company announced general availability of the new task management add-on for users of Infor WFM Workbrain. The Task Management module is powered by a partnership with WorkPlace Systems, a leading provider of task management solutions to European retailers. The module can be purchased and installed separately, giving retailers the option to add only the capabilities they need, with less disruption to their established business processes. | mudbath
24/6/2010 19:18 | Don't blame them, let's wait until the markets improve a bit. | arty
24/6/2010 17:48 | Please note, WSI bulls have no need to rise at dawn tomorrow. The prelims are now due on July 9th. | mudbath
22/6/2010 22:54 | Found it in the archives. 2004. Phew!! | mudbath |
