I'm retaining my WDS shares for the time being even though it does leave me a bit overweight in the oil and gas sector of my widely diversfied income port as I already held SHEL and BP.

H1 results to 30 June are due out on 11 August.

Did a little detective work ... that I might usefully have done earlier. The ISIN of my newly arrived non-tradeable Woodside shares is AU0000224040. Google that and you will find it's WOODSIDE ENERGY GROUP LTD listed on the LSE. That seems to confirm my expectation.

pherrom, also for my sins my BHP holding is with HSBC.
Confirmed in a telephone call this morning they will sell my dividend in specie AUS shares, despite the new London listing.
So just a cash injection into the bank, she obviously couldn't confirm an amount.

Shares in my account have an Australia ISIN (AU). But so do my BHP shares ... and they are London-listed. So the ISIN is certainly not a guide.

Since my BHP shares are listed on the LSE, I'm assuming my Woodside shares will also be London-listed.

I have shares added in my account (DEGIRO)... 'BHP Group Ltd - non-tradeable'. I presume these will convert to LSE-listed Woodside shares at some point in the near future.

Not in HSBC InvestDirect account.
They have written to say they won't be dealing in WDS because they are listed on ASX.
I have messaged them to say they are listed on LSE from today.
They also wrote that we will receive cash. I own more than 1000 BHP so how will that work?
This is typical of InvestDirect.

Thanks - it's in an ISA so it's notional but I want to adjust correctly. When I last looked the Woodside shares were around 30 Aussie dollars so must have risen.

BHP has done me well down the years.

Also, unless the ALP goes nuts there won't be any windfall taxes!

NK104,The cost of your BHP shares by my calulations are around 330p a share less than cost.eg I will get 204 WDS shares x 1830p = £3,733 divided by 1,131 BHP shares = 330p.The WDS AU share price close today at 31.80 adjusted currency price GBP/AUD 1.733 equates to 1835p. WDS Dividend currently 135 US cents. So the GBP dividend around 107p.So yield atm 5.85% .WDS were up 5.2% yesterday in Oz.Also WDS started trading in the US last night closed at 23.15.GBP/USD 1.25785 equates to 1840p.I saw someone on the BHP thread quoting 1559p a share.I think this could be wrong by the AU and US currency conversions.Hope this helps.

Cheers for setting this up. I suppose there are two questions at this stage:

1) What is the effective cost of the Woodside shares (to adjust the cost of my BHP holding)

2) Relative value of the Woodside shares including dividend yield. If the USD dividend last year was about $1.30 (which I vaguely remember from the Woodside website) and the price is about £15.50 - that makes the dividend yield just over 6 per cent.
