There's a brief mention of the aviation fuel contract in the morning II report:
John Wood Group said it "has been awarded a significant contract by OMV Petrom for a major project to boost the production of sustainable fuel in Southeast Europe". John Wood will, having successfully delivered front-end engineering and design work for the Petrobrazi refinery in Romania, conduct engineering, procurement and construction management to install a new bio-hydrotreater unit and relevant storage facilities. The Petrobrazi refinery is set to "become the first major production facility for sustainable aviation fuel in the region", John Wood said. |
Ken Gilmartin, CEO at Wood said:
"This significant contract award builds on our longstanding relationship with OMV Petrom. We are proud to continue partnering with them to futureproof their infrastructure and enable the production of low carbon fuels.
"We have deep knowledge of our clients' assets through decades of proven project delivery. This, combined with our world-class engineering and execution expertise, positions Wood to successfully complete this project and establish Petrobrazi as the first major producer of sustainable fuels in Southeast Europe." |
Following successful delivery of the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for this important project, Wood will now deliver engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) to install a new bio-hydrotreater unit and relevant storage facilities at the refinery. This project will enable the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) utilising Honeywell UOP Ecofining™ process technology. |

I have seen announcements made by other companies that contain references to John Wood providing services to them. It would appear that they rate John Wood highly and are proud of having Wood as a project partner. |

Keep pushing those wins over the line and let's close out the year on a high! |
Would be good to see 70p taken out this session |
I don't think the takeover will be hostile. I think that the directors are quietly happy to accept a reasonable offer. But I think more than one bidder will emerge and they will fight it out. The first smell of a takeover will push the share price beyond 100 p. |
This has got to be a hostile T/O target at these levels? |
I go by the upward chart and sentiment. No news is good news. Business carries on as usual. |
Great recovery from 50p. Should continue to grind back up to 100 |
WG. continue to be involved in this project: |
Jolly good a nice rally before Christmas.

Definitely interested to see if Sidara or Apollo re-appear with new revised.I still think the board was probably correct in their assessment that the company is worth a lot more, but just can't seem to turn a profit despite the turnover. No idea how Apollo could achieve that but Sidara could certainly manage it in house and cut the costs. |
Go with the flow. Don't swim against the tide. The share has hammered out a solid base at around 50 p and has been moving up ever since. It went up to 72 p not long ago. It will rise above 70 p again. It will reach 100 p. |
