11/6/2013 07:44 | The drop has been an over-reaction imho so I've bought in again. It makes WLF vulnerable to a takeover (which might be the best way forward) but I reckon that the share price will recover in the next couple of months. | jimrclark
09/6/2013 19:54 | Think the last few director buys have all been with terrible timing. Clearly, they're not using their position to reap personal gain! Still think the best thing for shareholders would be a takeover. The current crop have had enough time to turn things around and have not convinced anybody of any significant progress. Trading in WLF has been anaemic for a number of years now. Absolute zero interest in this share by Institutions, PI's etc etc. Perhaps if they finally make a profit in the next 5 years (of they're still around) by the end of the decade, things may improve. Doubt it though. Half year results will be out within 2 months. Wonder if they've over hyped their future estimates again and have to backtrack. Can't hep feeling these would be still under 100p had the market not zoomed up this year. The glory days are long gone. | domtheone
07/6/2013 21:47 | indeed hey ho ; seems crazy if just on the back of samsung ; as wlf not big in S4 ;its an ever changing market | pjw956
07/6/2013 17:40 | Hey ho. Another plunge. 200p gone again for another year? First Apple nearly killed if WLF and now Samsung lol. Either a market overreaction or idiotic recent Director buys. Probably 50/50. Just goes to show that charts don't mean didly to WLF. Expect 3-4 damning reports per year and the odd bright spot. Markets have rocketed in the last year and WLF has done nothing. Totally abysmal performance. Next thing you know they'll be another profit warning and hello sub 100p Anything positive? £4M worth of shares traded today yet probably 5 times that off the company value. Next week will be more interesting. | domtheone
07/6/2013 17:34 | Thats what I thought too. 2 different models. East & West basically. Time to buy in again then? | priteshpatel9
07/6/2013 15:01 | To provide a little enlightenment: Samsung make two versions of the Galaxy S4. One with their own processer(Exynos) and one with a Qualcomm(Snapdragon) processer. Wolfson supply an Audio hub to the Exynos version(Korea and some other places) not the snapdragon one(US, UK, other places). I think that most of the sales are currently of the Snapdragon variety. It is most likely that Wolfson remain totally unaffected and that the reaction is one of fear not logic. I hope so anyway. | acgent

07/6/2013 13:12 | Ok thanks for that. Confusing as it contradicts the Engadget interview with the CEO. | michaelwhight
07/6/2013 13:08 | Samsung announcement says that it expected 80 million handsets to be shipped - now more like 60 million. JM Morgan and other analysts have scare mongered everyone I think. Link to article: hxxp://www.crosspoll As for WM supplying the S4, here's what it says on their announcement release: Wolfson Microelectronics plc, a global leader in the design and development of mixed-signal semiconductor audio solutions for the consumer electronics market, and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, have today agreed a multi-year IP License and a Component Supply Agreement which establishes Wolfson as a primary Samsung audio partner. As a result of this agreement, Wolfson expects to be a major audio component supplier for Samsung's GALAXY range of smartphones and tablets including the GALAXY S4 in 2013. This announcement builds on Wolfson and Samsung's existing relationship, where Wolfson has provided outstanding audio performance for Samsung devices including its best-selling GALAXY S III, as well as its GALAXY Note II and GALAXY Note 10.1. | priteshpatel9
07/6/2013 12:33 | Not invested here but looking. I thought WLF do not make for Samsung G3&4. Is that incorrect? | michaelwhight

17/5/2013 20:21 | another director purchase at 2.22 err? | pjw956
16/5/2013 21:40 | Had a look on the iqe board. Blackrock appear to have a lot of shorts open at the moment (46). Fortunately, WLF does not appear to be amongst them. Anyway, couple of decent days. Don't read too much into the chart analysis covered above (with respect) as it'll all come crashing down at some point (always does with WLF). I'll believe that 200p has held once this is 300p. | domtheone
16/5/2013 10:15 | Thanks amt. Will google it later. | domtheone
