Posted at 29/4/2014 14:10 by johnward1234 For me I don't think this is a good deal for long time holders (wolf never paid a dividend ) They have sold out to early in my opinion fwiw. the buyer Cirrus share price has jumped up today on this news, that speaks volumes, but then it's not done deal yet. ( hopefully ) |
Posted at 29/4/2014 06:52 by bobsidian Well goodbye to WLF.The US obviously has a different perception of worth than that ascribed by market forces to WLF in the UK. |
Posted at 25/4/2014 18:42 by pjw956 some large trades going through way over market price ; 500,000 @145 today...plus others today and earlier this week ...position build prior to results ? |
Posted at 17/2/2014 09:01 by dewtrader Fin Wolfson Microelectronics - Time and cash slipping away (130.3p) WLF SELL TP: 110.0p. Market Cap: £152.1m Wolfson continually promises a bright future, but serial disappointments have left little goodwill and even less margin for further error. After five years of losses, quarterly revenue and margins remain on the slide, and both cash and time are running out. |
Posted at 31/1/2014 20:20 by jimrclark Looks like some dark arts are being used here!I reckon that there's something up. The different holding announcements a few days before a trading update might suggest that someone knows something. If it was something negative then I reckon that wlf would have had to announce something before now (as they've done before) so I'm thinking that next week will be interesting. |
Posted at 15/1/2014 16:03 by jimrclark A couple of relatively big (for WLF at any rate!) late trades appearing again. Both look like buys. |
Posted at 06/12/2013 19:25 by pjw956 I think you will find that there are very few that did that - most bought at 250 and sold at 100 - thats always been the wlf way ! jam tomorrow ; or next week ; or next month ; and now next year ; one day I might just see a jar of jam TODAY !come on wlf shows us what you have .... |
Posted at 29/10/2013 13:17 by via con @jimrclark, "Perhaps, adding a cutting edge to their management team will bring quicker results." sounds like you are touting for the job ;o)IMHO, the problem for WLF, the scribblers, the city boys and indeed WLF´s figures never truely overcame the loss of AAPL. Although the problem for WLF was when it had AAPL the city was worried about the potential impact should it lose AAPL. I wounder whether the same worry still persists now with Samsung. Regardless of what the future may hold, I find it difficult to believe that WLF will ever reach the dizzy heights of 500p again, only time and ingenuity will tell. Anyway thanks for the chat jimclark, I´ll now retreat back to being a lurker... my appropriate place I believe. GLTA |
Posted at 29/10/2013 10:46 by jimrclark I agree GPedro2 - q4 is already built into the price. sp should have now bottomed out. There's very good potential here. Reducing costs and increasing sales in 2014 should see the share price rise significantly. I'm hoping for a 20-30p increase before Christmas and my target for the next 12 months is an optimistic 250p. I do think that they are vulnerable until they give a positive update - that doesn't look like it will be until we see the Q1 2014 update. There's plenty of time for someone to grab a nice bargain before then. I didn't listen in to the cc but if, as via con implies, MH was hesitant in his responses, I think that his coat is on a shoogly hook!! |
Posted at 20/11/2012 08:23 by glyn10 no idea, logic does not seem to apply in regard to WLF share price movement |
