You are clearly having a cracking Christmas so far CR Glad I joined you and scsw in these a few weeks ago and topped up recently. I like the chart and the huge director buy!

Well outside the 250 anteater - they need to double.

I think the move is down to today's announcement. The last trading update more or less said they were doing rather well but the segmental analysis and changes were not that clear to most investors. Brokers hinted at upgrades coming later then too.

Today lays out the data in a way in which they can publish clear comparisons at the next trading update and results that give clear comparisons.

SCSW had spoken to the co and reckoned these were going to £2. The current yield is still just under 5% and we are goin to be looking at strong growth here imo. Good growth of sales and a large divi is hard to find imo.

Once these start moving they tend to go a bit relentless, day after day nearly, as they did a few months back. Chart broke out today too - great bowl too:

Is Wilmington close to moving out of FTSE Small cap Index and into FTSE 250? If it does move into new index, a lot more institutions will look at it. Hopefully shares will head towards 2 year high of 180p.

Nice to see the split and I agree, it will make it plain which elements are performing well (and also how well).

there is noway i would release such info unless you were confident that all segments were performing well...nowhere to hide bad numbers with this info

Well that should make the forthcoming trading statement crystal clear how well they are doing with this to compare too imo. Probably why they have published it now imo.

Been creeping up in recent days and at new recent highs.

breakout a bit misleading at the moment due to the large spread...an AT on the sell side and it will appear a false breakout.

tbh, with the buys recently I wouldn't expect it, but just an observation

I think there's likely to be a trading update late Dec or early Jan. On the broker note afte the recent update it said 'we aren't upgrading "yet" ' or words to that effect, which suggested it was a matter of time imo.

Going through the revcent resistance tho and a bit of narrowing on the spread and we might get that rally imo.

5% spread doing its best to deter any buying...

interestign to see the bid tick up to >140 for the first time in a while (without it being taken out quickly)

One of the cheapest stocks out there- 5% yield with potential for dividend growth

reasonable buying, but O trades have little effect here, a few AT buys required to move it

Buying picking up here.

Interesting to see the editor of the SCSW holding and the buy reittereated - I sort of wonder if they expect a trading update before the next issue in Jan so gut that buy rec back in there this month perhaps.

Broker notes after the last results certainly soiuned like they expected to upgrade forecasts at some point imo.

a break here and there is the number-based resistance around 150 and then the previous high from early 2011 which also acted as support and resistance in 2008 around the 180-185 level

SCSW say Buy again today.

I notice too that out of the stocks they tip. WIL is one of the few held by the editor.

I think a good chance of a positive trading update before too long imo, year end Dec 31.

Still a 5% yield here and ISA-able too.

One explanation for the hesitancy at the current levels...

although both the rising MACD and RSI potentially could indicate that the resistance might eventually be breached

Automated little buys back at it on the book - these rallied relentlessly last time this was going on :-)
