12/3/2019 23:21 | I can see capitulation here and an share price of 120 very soon .The FOBT wipe out imminent shop closures resulting in a charge to the balance sheet tax rise of 6% further government regulation of on line gambling huge director sales at GVC when the stock is already 40% down from recent highs a cut to the dividend here .Is there little wonder why this is in free fall . | rbonnier
12/3/2019 14:48 | For fun, here's what Citywire funds insider said in Jan 2018: You havet o laugh. For what it's worth Simon Cawkwell called as a buy at around 260 in his Master Investor diaries sometime last year. I'm not sure I can be bothered to look for the article. Also no brokers rate it a sell, and more rate it a buy than a hold. So why are we at 152? Interesting stuff | stupmy
12/3/2019 13:27 | Exactly someone must know on here, please enlighten I’m confused | archibald5
12/3/2019 11:33 | I hope I don't regret this, but I've continued to buy. A close below 153 would make me believe 148 and even 135-137 are coming into play. I don't know what's causing this drop, but obviously would be interested to find out. | stupmy
12/3/2019 11:11 | Are the recent falls due to to the upcoming budget, the imminent deadline for the FOBT £2 stake limit, the uncertainty concerning the effect on betting shop closures or just a gap to fill. I did see a gap at £1.59, but since it has continued to fall. Whatever it is since the results the share price has ratcheted backwards, with really no support, but the falls are unnerving nonetheless if you are a shareholder. I’m starting to wonder about gaming stocks, and the future, but presumably there is a place for them, they seem to be a focus for attention with regard to social issues, I do not believe that tobacco, alcohol, etc should be exempt from attention! The health consequences of the latter two are singularly as harmful. | wormhasturned
11/3/2019 18:22 | The companies made a rod for their own back, they should have have realised that regulation would destroy the FOBT, and been more compliant and respectful about problem gambling! | wormhasturned
11/3/2019 18:20 | This is becoming very frustrating, what did the market expect with the results to run it up prior, typical get-out, but now we are right back near the lows, have bought in to watch the decline. Nonetheless one has to be faithful, this has halved and more in the last twelve months, so maybe a takeover is the hope, and from outside of the UK. Personally I think WMH needs to be more ruthless about closures of high street outlets, and intense focus online, and outside of this country, the game is up in the UK, too many expensive outlets now the FOBT earner is over! | wormhasturned
11/3/2019 10:02 | I've bought back what I sold on friday for 157.45. That's around a 4-4.5p benefit. We'll see where that gets me. Goes ex divi 25 of this month. Might be a rise into that. The sells at GVC might well account for the drops. Negative read across. Fingers crossed nothing negative is happening to the US gaming legislature. | stupmy
08/3/2019 20:03 | GVC massive director sales hit the sector today alongside the weaker indices | pireric
08/3/2019 14:46 | Yes, bit too focussed!! Monday or 'next week'. We'll see. | stupmy
08/3/2019 14:12 | I've closed out all of todays buys at just under 162. My experience of this type of trade suggests I'll get a better price tomorrow. If I do, great. If I don't then my original positions will recover somewhat. I'm watching Barc for an entry there. | stupmy
08/3/2019 09:37 | I've doubled my leveraged position at 157 | stupmy
08/3/2019 09:31 | Might be wrong, but I think we're looking at capitulation today. I'm just waiting for evidence that it's over. One thing I like to see in this type of situation, is price hitting a support on the weekly chart. 153.5 to 148 would give me that. In addition, I'll be watching the 15 minute and 2 hour charts for signs of a change in sentiment | stupmy
08/3/2019 08:49 | Price has broken the rising tl supports from Dec 11th. If it closes below 162 that's really not a good sign. 158.5 as we speak. There is support at around 155, 152 then 148. I'll wait before adding here. | stupmy
08/3/2019 08:34 | Think it's already had a tanking so I've bought back in awaiting the bounce... seems good value now | gareth004
08/3/2019 08:29 | You're not kidding. I've been trading it quite actively but have been caught by this latest drop. I'm looking at the price as we speak (160). I'm waiting to add, but starting to feel that it's going to take a little while to resolve this one. What is the FOBT? | stupmy
08/3/2019 08:18 | Bit of a pasting this has taken since results, I’m assuming the jury is out until effects of FOBT hit are better understood, but after watching this fall by 60% over the last 18 months, is this better value. Taken a punt on the latest drop, but it seems a big seller has yet been cleared! | wormhasturned
06/3/2019 08:17 | I've bought more at 174 | stupmy
04/3/2019 16:13 | I've doubled that and will add more tomorrow if the price falls back a little | stupmy
04/3/2019 14:53 | I've bought back my first position at 177. I don't have a buy signal, but it's equivalent to the 176 target I mentioned previously. I will look to develop this position over time. Currently I've only bought back 12.5% of my original holding. | stupmy
01/3/2019 16:29 | 7.74p actually. They rounded figures at places in the announcement. | deanforester |
