NY Boy: I sort of agree with you.
I would expect during the Christmas period this share might well be in one or two "naps" for 2018 articles.

I mean its meant to be 30p now - rising to 70p as time or deals come out... So 40p in 1st quarter of 2018 is quite possible.

net - I haven't sold any and those kind of retracements don't bother me. I'm in this for the long term and the story hasnt changed. I spoke to mg yesterday to discuss WEY too and he's v bullish and hasn't sold either.

If you keep checking the share price daily you'll stress yourselves out

As soon as the good Lord, during the first episode, remarked on him being a lawyer I thought his goose was cooked. He takes great delight in getting rid of people who don't sell stuff from a market stall (like wot he did)

Netcurtains, my top-slicing sale as stated was for risk management purposes, keeping my risk spread. WEY remains a core holding, one of 6 in the fund I run for myself and Madame Bones. I do this whenever a holding motors ahead in a spike. It reduces my average costs, keeps diversity in place and makes cash profits.I actually bought a few at 22.5p yesterday morning on the results so to have made over 40% in a day on those and to cash in a few others at over 100% is all good. Like I say, I hold plenty for the longer term outlook. I think it will increase but I have no regrets in letting a few go for the reasons stated. It's not just an academic exercise for me. Ultimately cash is still king!

I have noted that many of the original crew here have sold a lot of shares and new people have come in - and the price has held. I think people do actually see the future here. Yes, its unpleasant when it falls back to 17p or whatever (more unpleasant then the good feeling you get when it rises). People should hold this share if they have a STRONG BELIEF in distant learning.... Because if you do not have the belief you will be shaken out ... So be WARNED...

I am a believer so you will only get "rampie" posts from me - not deliberately but because I believe it is part of the future for everyone (from pre-birth to almost post-death).

And "Sir Allan" should move aside tonight for "Lord" Massie (yep Sir Allan fired the Barrister in the 2nd episode of the apprentice whose business model was "Home education".

Hang your head in shame Sir Allan.

Veru.........totally agree, 1 child through uni and the other still there. Told them both it is the cheapest loan they will ever have and never to pay more than the min off unless they win the lottery, and even then after they give us a shed load of cash first!

Scott Galloway's right about that multibagger - though the problem in the UK at the moment is tuition is effectively free for the courses that we don't need people to do.

If you're a 2nd rate 6th former looking to do a degree in burger flipping at a 2nd rate "Uni", you know that you'll never earn enough to make any kind of dent in the loan. You also stand a ludicrously good chance of getting a "1st class" degree at these places, despite minimal contact time and only needing Ds and Es or BTECs to get in. The fees of £9K a year are utterly ludicrous, but as the students will never end up paying, no one seems to care.

The only people who'll end up paying for their studies in full (with stupid amounts of interest) are the ones doing useful subjects at good Unis - who strangely enough are the ones we SHOULD be subsidising. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Hope so bones!

Just checked Wey PER..1631!!!! lol

Who is to say that free schools will not take up this model. Maybe families might do it. No more bullying, class room disruption or other peoples children undermining the confidence of your own kids. Once this is established in peoples minds as a viable alternative to bricks and mortar schools and is no telling what future uses individuals and groups will put this method of education to.

Without predators and with a BoD that don't mess it up and keep to quality, always quality, this is a cash cow for shareholders long term.

Hi Bones, Scott Galloway thinks that college education is basically overpriced. He suggests that Apple put their money hoard to good use and make tuition free !

Who knows in time we may be involved in a FWANG ;)

The only hitch when you are trying to add in any decent quantity, is the very small free float :(

Well done LTHs !

Well, I saw the reference on the LTG thread but didn't buy until after the figures at 30p. Better late than never. LTG is more established but is mainly addressing the business market. I think the size of WEY's market is humongous compared with the former's.

I put up LTG as my share for 2017 (it's in the thread from december last year) at 33p. I realise wey at 3p wwould have been a much smarter pick of course, but it'll do me. Money to be made in many shares if your timing is good, as has been the case for many here :)All shares have their worth

Speaking of which a government announcement has transformed prospects at residential homes and property groups including the one I bought into this morning. Could be hot money as people realise the implications, but I'm sure bones would be upset if I named it here, so I won't ;)

PS: Only teasing bones... i like your recent investment in another company

Best to just let it go bones. I am sure it has caught her (?) attention. Not sure this rise will continue but happy to see it screaming away at present.

Lauders, I have been sorely tempted to remind hazl on the LTG thread about the 80% profit she turned down after calling our share a "little secondary" outfit! I am rising above the temptation as I don't like to be seen to be gloating..... LTG may yet outstrip WEY (but I doubt it).

80% is owned by directors and institutions, so this tells you something
