Let's hope so with not too much negative going forward. |
Yeah it's a shame. My fave was in Blackheath, another in Greenwich and one at Hays Galleria. I just looked at the Menu for St. Katherine's Dock and it's £25 for Sirloin and £31 for Fillet no Rib Eye at all! Cote's Menu's are very similar as are the prices. There's one in Blackheath but if you're gonna spend that you may as well go the Ivy round the Corner! ;-) |
Henley-on-Thsmes today lunch time packed out with diners. Massive place. Pleasant staff. Good meal So cheap. No complaints. Never set foot in a JDW before |
Isis, CR has 7 outlets left, only 2 in London. |
Nearly 40 GBP for steak and chips at a Young's pub, it's dry aged..etc
Strong update from Fullers last week. |
In fairness they have introduced many new items to the menu.
The wraps are absolutely delicious the Southern fried chicken one is a favourite.
And the small portion desserts are a great idea.Love the salted caramel cookie dough. lol |
Has it got so bad in the UK that JDW can not longer have gammon on the menue..
I mean yes steaks are expensive, but gammon..
Also gammon is thirst inducing, you drink more afterwards. |
Liverpool spoons around 8pm was the quietest pub by a mile last Tuesday ,but would almost certainly have been because of football ?They are not always full? |
My mate last week in Liverpool last week refused to pay 2.60 for a bottle of coke on the train station and walked 5 mins to a shop to save 80p ?Then put 1k on Constitution Hill in the Champion Hurdle that fell after 6 hurdles ?He's the one that sat in a pub once when we were all out and refused to buy a drink because of the price lol ?Madness ? |
Ref boost from bandits always surprises me those who complain about beer going up a few Pence then proceed to pile £ notes into the slot machine sure we've all seen them! |
My local spoons will be a few pints lighter, weekly , as one of my best mates that has drank every day for over 65 years, has finally been told he's near the end ?Only drank beer and Wobbly Bob a favourite? Not many characters anymore like this guy in pubs ?An Oliver Reed clone lol ?Sad news ? |
My local spoons always had a good following on a Tuesday for Steak, but I think the younger generation are not as interested? |
That's my mate finished with spoons ?That's all he eats ?Wow ? |
Il be in that at the end of April ?Och aye the noo ? |
Very impressed with The Sir John Moore, next to Grand Central station (and my hotel) in Glasgow. I believe it has had a refurb, incl. an open kitchen for example.
Real ales (festival on now) @ £2.49 and that’s before I introduce my Camra voucher.
Possibly the best Wetherspoons I’ve ever visited. |
Most ales where I am are 2.15 .Download the wetherspoons APP and just browse the drinks in different areas .Unless you fancy buying me a pint ?In that case il tell you the table number lol . |
Well the ales are 1.99 and they used to be 2.10. Only drink ales so wouldn't know about the other stuff. |
The prices are up ?Have you visited one lately ?Look at the APP ?The two bottle deal is up from 5.20 to 6.20 ?Pubs full of people swigging coffee all day and using them instead of laxatives, can be giving a false impression? |
Let's face it, JDW shares aren't going to go up till they put up their prices. |
Those ones had been up for sale for Yonks, took a long time to sell them off. Having Doorman on at the Weekends seems to be a regular thing now in the London ones, I hope them being busy everywhere goes into the revenue and profits, the Doormen obviously are an extra cost but they are just getting too packed since the closures of other branches. |
Another two closing that I've visited ?Poole and St Ives ?Hadn't got the courage to visit Leith lol ?I'm sure I'm a jinx?Spring beer festival with pints starting at 1.69 ?In a while they will be paying you to drink ?I've drunk enough in them this weekend and will visit a few more in Liverpool this week .All busy .Are they making money ?If they ain't I don't know how the others manage .Https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/33709362/wetherspoon-the-quay-poole-dorset-closing/ |
