15/7/2024 20:49 | Huge takings for the Pubs yesterday. One of my local Spoons took off the Table Service if you were lucky to get one, there were Extra Barstaff and absolutely ramoed, huge rounds being bought. Unfortunately we didn't win but was a good Night. :) | isis
13/7/2024 22:52 | Oh BTW ??Uber is the most fantastic company in the world imo ??FACT??Or maybe a FACT lol?? | gozzie2
13/7/2024 22:13 | I've never seen pubs as dead as that in my life .?Macclesfield the first time ?Probably because it's England tomorrow, although 6 quid a pint didn't help? You could see the boarded up pubs and il guarantee there will be more to follow ?Not a chance on earth the regular drinkers from 4 years ago can afford those prices ?Last man standing??FACT | gozzie2
12/7/2024 22:11 | Expected to make £80m pretax Equity £370m so about 21% roi considered excellent if over 20%. Not many companies make 20%, free cashflow about £140m, so 15% yield on market cap. Looks good value. | giltedge1
12/7/2024 20:00 | It's sad to see them closing Pubs that look busy but purely from a business point of view the ones that are open have increased turnover. If they are gonna open another 200 Pubs will be interesting to see where they put them! My nearest local ones aren't closing but there were about 7 now about 4 can't really include the Stargazer at the 02 as it's an event place for the most part. | isis
12/7/2024 14:01 | Only old women in the pub today not good | portside1
12/7/2024 12:37 | Good points DudRealistic target too.Think some forget it's an established ftse business unlikely to suddenly jump sharply in value.Happy with a steady move up. | tim 3
12/7/2024 07:44 | he will only do 5% IMHO goose, golden etc etc ? | mr.elbee
12/7/2024 07:25 | Target is £9 btw | dudishes
12/7/2024 07:15 | So the guy needed £50K, he sold shares to cover, big deal. At 742 I was somewhat late to the party, but happy. My friends were buying at 590/600, I think very happy. Tim, cut and thrust, seems to me that it works. My nephew visits his local on occasion, beer dirt cheap. Biggest mover (as in France), is coffee.80 to 90% mark up. He also favours local/small breweries where possible. Many would not exist without his support. His buyers are fierce, but fair, it's easy to establish costs in the industry. Not a beer/larger man myself, wine only. Apparently that is dirt cheap also, but no French? I understand the Aussy stuff is improving? cheers | dudishes
11/7/2024 16:07 | Looks good value at £7.70 free cash flow 23 £130m so will be higher 24 say £150m, maybe buyback announced on results, if not next year. Competition dropping away, so can increase prices 10%, still cheapest around. | giltedge1
11/7/2024 13:20 | Great update yesterday ... no gotcha's. I was drawn to "On 06 June 2024, the company signed a new four-year £840 million banking agreement on attractive terms.".... reason being that the competition (Stonegate) is trying to get a banking agreement (circa £2B ) and as last report had to state material uncertainty as they were unable at the time to agree new terms (lenders must want unaffordable terms). This might still be the case, and as £840M is now unavailable then it must be 'squeaky bum' time at Stonegate. I am sure they will get the agreement but I bet they will pay a substantial premium over the terms JDW just agreed. To think with the rotten weather of late and the sales growth reported then if the sun does show its face for a prolonged period then even better news is ahead. | gwatson56
11/7/2024 12:58 | To many getting paid on none jobs at the top and area managers they need to cut out | portside1
11/7/2024 06:19 | Amended confirmed he sold. Poor controls on the RNS someone needs less beer before they send out. | chester9
10/7/2024 16:44 | Yeah they should amend that RNS, Says sold at the beginning and Bought in the RNS text, | isis
10/7/2024 16:31 | It's sloppy by someone which is it? | chester9

10/7/2024 15:50 | Contradictory RNS saying on one hand it was a director sell then saying below it was a director buy. | busters
10/7/2024 15:33 | Underwhelming results and Finance Director selling 7k at 7.61 today means Ben Whitley does not think share price going up soon..Granted we all have a right to our money when we need it. | chester9
10/7/2024 14:02 | Tim needs me to sort it out and I would in days and the share price over 1000 | portside1
10/7/2024 13:30 | Glad I sold before results | portside1
10/7/2024 13:30 | To many managers pub managers and then area manages then those in head office over staffed the wage bill is far to high Cut out the area managers to have these it takes over £12000 from each pub before it starts to make money That is not good | portside1
10/7/2024 09:51 | mroalan - I'm trying to limit myself to 15 pints-a-week as well. This year I'm avoiding the £5+ pints as much as possible. | lorse
10/7/2024 08:54 | Lorse, My local Spoons and The Green Ginger in Torquay are about the only Spoons i use so the 10% is not a draw for me at x10 pints aweek, if i ever become a drunk i might go for it. | mroalan |
