It’s wise to look for different sources of news, but I don’t think it’s wise to divide them into true and fake. News sources are like historical sources, they are all interpretations. They are all biased to some degree. Historians never just look at the content of documents, they always ask who wrote it, and why? Who paid for it? How does it compare with other sources? Etc. Sometimes the most important question to ask is “what’s been left out”.
You may not believe what a minister says on the BBC, but you can learn a lot about his aims by working out how and why is he lying. And occasionally they can be honest. The trick is to work out when.
If we don’t think critically about our news sources, we end up as either political fodder of the establishment on the one hand, or zealous promoters of bizarre conspiracy theories on the other.

Mainstream Media is just simply propaganda though unfortunately most people rely on it as a basis for their 'news' intake and world view. As a result it leaves them extremely deficient with regards to holding a balanced opinion on anything as they only ever get to hear one side of anything. This covid caper is the perfect example of this which is demonstrated on a daily basis here and on most other threads.

Fair enough but do you think its fair iff they only have a certain amount of beds oxygen ect to have a doc or nurse choose who to treat and who to leave .Like i said wear a badge saying If you are full il stay at home im a covid denyer.Do you think that's an OK thing to do .

Maybe I'm healthy or maybe I'm not. I don't want to catch it in the same way I don't want to catch the Flu but if it's an option of staying in for the rest of my life terrified of it or going about my business as normal then I'd take the latter.

A guy struggling for breath in hospital said he had views like yours until recently .He then caught it and as there's not much they can do for him he said people spouting your views need to wake up its real .

I meant beds are hard to find in these hospitals at the best of times .Throw covid in it gets impossible. My dad waited 4 hours in corridor the beds was full and it was summer not winter when there's usually more illness. People with heart failure ect that catch this have no chance .You must be healthy if you don't care about catching it .

Well considering your experiences shape your views they do seem to be mirroring the mainstream medias messaging perfectly.

My dad could hardly get a bed after a heart attack 2 years ago in summer .I must have been dreaming he was in a corridor 4 hours until he could get a bed .
