07/12/2012 09:24 | The only thing it doesn't do is mention the partner M et P. In fact the silence on M et P is deafening! | chrismez
06/12/2012 10:49 | Very positive and optimistic outlook. At least the board have a realistic plan which is more than you can say for most explorers | cyman
30/11/2012 20:02 | The last time I posted here the shares sank a little more. Thought I might try again as I am a glutton for S&M - after all it doesn't have much further it can plummet. Perhaps at least the share price will go low enough through the ground to hit a gas field! | cyman
08/11/2012 07:26 | Thanks WB. Price is indeed very low.. Spread is a bit heavy though, so straight into a loss making situation until they have a bit of success with the drill bit. Still on watch list though. | funtimejonny
07/11/2012 12:29 | Anybody know what is happening on the 3 wells that were being "worked over"? Presumably this will lead to an increase in production... I am no longer in WRL, but reckon it might be worth a small punt if the price drops a bit more. | funtimejonny
07/11/2012 11:19 | Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day and they could hit something in year or so.Meanwhile,it all seems rather dull here, the company appears to have no "oomph" and i wish the F.T. had never drawn my attention to the stock with that Sat weekend comment all those months ago. This stock is controlled by dealings in Oslo and frankly i don't know why Wentworth have a London listing. They don't seem to nurture the London connection. | steeplejack
07/11/2012 00:31 | I'm not meaning to deramp, I still like the acreage. One day someone is going to find a serious oilfield in the Rovuma area, better on-shore than off. And all the neighbours will benefit if AEX/Solo strike it. I don't have a lot at risk here, so I'll cool it. Good Luck. :-) | wbodger
06/11/2012 18:58 | Wbodger - I feel precisely the same as you. I was wondering whether the deramp we gave it yesterday had anything to do with the fall? Certainly did ourselves no favours there. I am so far down now that selling seems futile. I might as well just delete it off my screen and check back again in a few years. | cyman
06/11/2012 14:55 | cyman, now I wish I had been more decisive. If I had I'd be looking at today's price fall as confirmation of my own analysis instead of cursing my own indecision. (Say, you wouldn't like to buy my shares at yesterday's price would you? No, thought not.) If I do dump them I won't come back (BoD here seems lazy). I suspect we're all looking for an exit point now. I wonder if this is pipeline related? They aren't drilling anything so it's either that or financial challenges, or politics. | wbodger
06/11/2012 11:44 | Yes such a disappointing investment. To find yourself holding such a bland, unattractive stock while neighbours like Ophir and Cove bask in the East African oil bonanza is irritating in the extreme. | steeplejack
06/11/2012 10:36 | why do the words 'utterly hopeless' spring to mind today? | cyman
05/11/2012 15:57 | Wbodger - thanks for the feedback. I too keep twitching at the sell button and have precisely the same thoughts as you have. I have lost so much here in wrl that there are only 2 realistic options: i. stay holding and thereby become a long term holder (this option raises the question - do I still have faith in this company) ii. sell and as you point out put the money to work where it actually has a prospect of rising there is one other option that strikes me as an afterthought: iii. I convince you to sell your holding and the moment you do the company gets taken over and then I sell which one shall I go for? | cyman
21/10/2012 10:06 | You are not alone, cyman. More pertinent is, is anyone on the Board doing any work in return for their salaries? I am watching AEX and Solo, wondering if I have missed my opportunity to abandon this one in pursuit of one of those. (I know, rats and sinking ships come to mind.) The only thing that stays my twitchy finger is the gloomy certainty that WRL will announce an approach the moment I hit the sell button. El1te's latest musings on AEX/Solo are here: | wbodger
19/10/2012 23:44 | anyone still watching this stock or am I alone? | cyman
25/8/2012 14:57 | Wbodger - If you haven't already thats fine by me. Best of luck | el1te
24/7/2012 07:52 | ---Adds broker comment and background--- Breaking ground at a major pipeline project in Tanzania signals the start of an important time for Wentworth Resources (LON:WRL) as it prepares for a significant growth period. | lucky_punter
23/7/2012 16:38 | UPDATE: Wentworth Resources poised for significant growth as pipeline project gets underway apparently we are now being tipped at over 100p. seems so far away after the past few months :( | cyman |
