Putting 1 and 1 together it looks as if Upstream might have a story tomorrow that ONGC will announce acquisition of 35% of Rovuma-1 offshore: 10% from Videocon, 10% from Anadarko and 15% from ESH.

hxxp://www.upstreamonline.com/live/article1329089.ece

That would leave:
ONGC 35%
Anadarko 26.5%
Mitsui 20%
Bharat 10%
PTTE 8.5%

Also, there is a link on Upstream from last Friday that Wentworth might be about to make that GSA announcement(previous post). It's behind a registration wall but here is the link if anyone can see it:

Has it been mentioned on other bbs? The share price in Oslo has been firm for a week.

AGM is Tuesday 25th. They might want to coordinate a major announcement with that ...

I wonder if the Oslo run up was in hopes that a GSA announcement would be made and perhaps slight disappointment that it was not included? "In the near term" should mean what it says, so the share price hasn't dropped much.

True but after the recent run,the stock is down 7% in Oslo.

We appear to be getting closer to actual production. Far better off than many similar companies

Trading update.Things building nicely but like so many of these junior resource companies,it always appears that the best is just round the corner ie next year!

Volume in Oslo isn't sizeable,so far today they've traded around 1% of the company. One must presume that there's a big buyer in the wings picking up stock when they can.As always ,vague bid rumours are doing the rounds.Drillings come up mid Summer, gas pipeline coming on stream,Anadarko hitting more gas off Mozambique,I guess there's a enough to give the stock a fillip and get it back to where it was a few months back.....will it hold this time.

whatever it is - it's still happening...

That Anadarko story (Thursday) shouldn't have caused the 25% gain on the day (Friday), with the late auction. Well worth a speculative hold. imo, so I'm still holding.

Anadarko has made a further big gas find in the Rovuma basin offshore Mozambique.Anadarko are Wentworths operator for upcoming drilling this summer. All bodes well.

Come on WRL, make my day.

Up 15% on yesterday in Oslo, kept the gain today, but I can't find anything. Anyone know?

I see earlier this week a VP was awarded options at a strike price of 4.08 Kroner (two months ago Gerold Fong also a VP was awarded some at a strike price of 4.97).

More vague rumours about M&P

(Looks like no more than volatile trading on Thursday following disappointing results.)

Also, I see Aminex is maintaining its proud record of never missing an opportunity to disappoint the market. With March effectively over they have extended the period for the farm-out announcement without setting a new target date. Let's hope it is not long delayed. (The market didn't like their results, either.)

Things are undoubtedly moving but still frustratingly slowly. The new Chinese Premier made a visit to Tanzania. Significant because only Russia came before Africa:

Agree Chris, once the dust has settled around the OPHR placement and rights issue, and the AEX / Solo Farmout is settled, then I reckon we will see some
M&A activity along the lines you suggest. I got in here fairly cheaply and I'm going to keeep adding to my holding in small tranches when cash allows.

Well tons of interesting stuff happened recently - keep an eye on whats happening with our neighbours AEX and SOLO - Also interesting that Statoil (alsoNorwegian !!) and BG are now actively looking for a site for the LNG terminal and hope to announce proposal to Tanz govt early Q2 - this on top of the pipeline to be completed in 18 months into which WRL will supply.

White hot at the moment

OPHR have raised over £500m this morning - looking now for acquisitions - WRL has to be on the radar given Block 1 seems to overlap into WRLs license area.

£1.15 price target seems reasonable right now given how white hot this area of the world is, what's going on with AEX / SOLO next door and the prime location of WRLs assets.

WRL sits in a logistically fundamental position between the offshore ( BG / OPHR) and the onshore ( Aex / Solo ) parties.

Also seems to be the case that WRL are ahead of those mentioned above and are already in talks with the govt to supply gas into the pipe.

Rosy prospects really - sorry not intended to be a ramp but probably reads that way.

Nice set of results last week and good timing re their release just as the fun and games are beginning with our neighbors AEX and SOLO. Should be interesting next week to find out who's keen to buy into the Tanzania acreage.
