The tone of today's RNS is distinctly downbeat in comparison to the operational update of 10th April.

Challenging repayment periods in Q2 & Q3. Not good IMHO.

it wouldn't surprise me if this fell to an all time low.

I wasn't impressed with the introduction of banking covanents and priority loan repayments for any spare cash...if/when it's paid.

RNS this morning which is positive confirming increasing demand for gas and updates on drill results and prospects for a drill partner.

Ntorya is stranded gas as there is no route to the market for the gas. WRL has a GSA for 130 mmscf/d and is expected to deliver all new demand up to 130 mmscf/d. All necessary infrastructure is in place from their 5 wells and they are delivering 44 mmscf/d at the moment, expected to increase to the current max capasity of about 100-130 mmscf/d during 2017-2018.

Interesting discussion on ExtraInvestor yesterday, following closing of the Pertamina bid (which was declared successful). The relevant posts can be seen by using the link posted above, #472. The discussion was about whether 'Change of Control' in the ROFR clause means complete change of ownership by de-listing (improbable on reflection) or if effective control changes when majority ownership changes. This morning's post by Eric Fore seems decisive:

"When we took over Artumas Group we did so by reverse takeover. We were careful not to buy more than 49.9% of Artumas, post investment, because having done so would have constituted change of control. I believe the same holds true for Pertamina's purchase of Maurel & Prom, so if their shareholding exceeds 50% change of control is triggered. I expect that we will hear something soon from Wentworth."

Updating on the bid, the original schedule indicated that the Pertamina bid would reopen [tomorrow] for ten market days, and will close on Thursday 9th February.

(I was wrong about M&P shares being suspended, they have been trading, albeit at low volume and are trading now at minuscule premium to the bid, implying no change in the bid is expected.) If Wentworth wishes to raise the finance to take up the ROFR on M-Bay this two week hiatus will be useful. Alternatively they might have negotiations with Pertamina on the way forward.

I don't think anyone foresaw this rally.

All I can think of is one or perhaps 2 of the recent power issues have or are about to be resolved.
I'd have expected an RNS if/when the above happens.

Another tick up and we are approaching the 12 month high seen in April 2016 of 33.75p.
It seems that WRL is recovering at quite a pace.

Yes that's because I sold! That's what happens. You'd better hope I don't buy back in, share price would plummet lol. My timing with shares in the last year has been dreadful..... here's to a better 2017

I was expecting to see AEX moving up as they are drilling but instead its Wentworth that is flying and from the start of December it has moved from 21p to over 31p this morning.

A good start to post Christmas trading a £12500 buy followed by 2 smaller buys has pushed this 6% higher to 26.5p
