Are they? And not a 10th of that? 0.07AUD Surely you know "Nicky's" trades! That is about 1.75% of "his" original trade - or thereabouts. You should ask "him". :)

UBS above 6% now and Polygon Partners over 18% some believe TW has got it very wrong again but he does give others good buying opps, sometimes TCM and PURP might be others? N.B. I know nothing about TCM, except its price has recovered strongly since damned by TW

Agree with you lorentz and apologies to everyone. The H1 report doesn't say if the NAV includes the escrow money or not. But the cash figure excludes the escrow money. And on checking the financial statements the current assets exclude the escrow. So NAV at 30 June was 143p and if successful in defending the S&G claim add another 109ppm. Lots of litigation and no doubt some pretty wild swings in share price. Just like the good old days of Quindell.

Doubt any leaks involved, other than the leak of the defence on TW's site over the weekend. WTG clearly put together some good people on this defence. £66.5m net assets EXCLUDES the £50m escrow. Likely to be some further non provisioned cashburn, though the provisions have proven to be very conservative so far (large amounts released unused) so maybe balances out a bit. I also think some of the businesses are worth more than the balance sheet would suggest. There's also the class action, which has stagnated for now. TW's leaked letter says around 450 signed up claimants + hundreds of potentials. Same as May 2016 when it was 440 signed up for total claim value of £11m and over a thousand been in contact. Looks from the letter like they need SGH to settle before they'd get litigation funding, and probably something useful from the SFO to win anything at all. Clearly WTG will fight those guys hard too to minimise the cost if it materialises.

Leak? RNS tomorrow? Net assets of £66.5m includes the escrow money and equates to 143pps. So a bit more on the price is still possible. Edit: see posts 3210 and 3212 below for correction.

So good news for WTG then, Sweetkarolina. SGH share price hasn't shifted on this announcement.

Having read through the full doc, if I were disposed to gamble on the outcome of court cases, my money would be on WTG. In my completely unqualified opinion WTG have a 90% chance of getting the escrow money and their costs for defending this action. Bad news for anyone stupid enough to buy into SGH at any point.

Simon Cawkwell - 28 Jun 2017 - 09:14:10 - 3070 of 3203 WATCHSTONE GROUP PLC - WTG Gentlemen, I suspect that Tom W has made a mistake over the strength of the S and G claim. I bought WTG again yesterday. It will take time to be resolved but, in due course, the improbable result of cash coming out of WTG will emerge. Simon Cawkwell Well Simon are you still of the same opinion ?

WTG had recently announced that their defence would be filed imminently. The full hearing can't be far off and I'm looking forward to reading the judgement in detail. I have no interest in either WTG or S&G other than I was a QPP shareholder years ago. My interest in the legal case is to obtain an independent view of the arguments of both sides, rather than vested interests, especially as this concerned the sale of a legal services business to another legal services business, which subsequently failed in conspicuous fashion.
