Explained at the last presentation - Boots and Tesco, amongst others, expect them to hold a lot more stock ready to be called forward. It's basically a working capital adjustment. We'll get the full results in April although that does mean they've increased inventories by something like £7M+. Best hope those sales come through!
Wouldn't surprise me to see the dividend being cut temporarily as the working capital takes time to work through.

Yes sell on news. £1.40🛩ԁ65;

Cash down to 4.1m from almost 5. A business losing money on sale increases...

Agree. It's a solid business with sound financials delivering on it's promises. Slow burner no fireworks. Boots and Tesco should push it along nicely. Decent year ahead assuming no headwinds.

Decent! No debt, even after "significant stock purchases to satisfy 2022 demand".

Yes, perhaps still looking for that big step-up - but W7L highly solvent.

Supermarket LfL been off the scale (eg +9%), got to hope some of that rubbed off onto W7L sales, even with all else being equal.

Hopefully Tesco sales have been impressive. Seems a little underwhelming that after all the vertical integration, e/commerce hype, and product development a supermarket's footfall should play such a crucial role. Must be a January update due.

Agreed, how well did they sell at Tesco and online? Vs lack of make-up needed with little/no nightlife.

Be surprised if they haven't done well again tho - supermarkets got a lot of footfall, plus there's Xmas gifts even if less nightlife.

T/s on 18th Jan last year, but there hadn't been the November one we had recently, so nothing is set.

Online sales, but otherwise agree - they need a nightlife scene and no masks, or else why buy makeup.

Edit - pubs/clubs etc excluded from the new mask rules.

Can't go bust taking a profit, and a well-timed purchase, well done.

I fancy a string of "exceeds" t/s ahead the next year or two, as the brand gains traction, Tesco etc deals bear fruit, and they bust back through previous highs.

But whether I'm still in all my holding by then is another matter :)

Not even peak season yet, got to be pleased with this:

"Warpaint London plc (AIM: W7L), the specialist supplier of colour cosmetics and owner of the W7 and Technic brands is pleased to announce an update on current trading.

Following a continuation of the improving trends seen in the first half of the year, and outlined in the Company's interim results announcement on 22 September 2021, the Company now expects its results for the year ending 31 December 2021 to be ahead of market expectations.

Well done on getting out early. Someone downvoted me for suggesting that around £2 wasn’t a bad time to topslice.
I’ve held all the way through and will keep holding as I’m rubbish at timing trades. I see this as having at least a couple of good years growth ahead of it. And with a 70p average the dividend yield for me is pretty sweet.
