11/8/2022 08:33 | 322 being paid. Think we are definitely making a move toward 350 | pauliewonder
10/8/2022 13:58 | US CPI figures better than expected. next stop 350p? | mfhmfh
09/8/2022 15:34 | 250,000 buy just reported. @314.5p. | dougmachin
08/8/2022 09:03 | Now +42% since June 23rd. A few more percent and it will be positive for 2022 and ahead of the market for the sixth year running. | ijamlon
08/8/2022 08:28 | VLX price benefiting from the US Senate passing The Inflation Reduction Act? "Meanwhile, some households could receive up to $7,500 in tax credit to buy an electric car, and $4,000 for a used car." | zho
04/8/2022 10:33 | For the scrip-divi... let me get this right, I've gotta post the form to Leeds by tomorrow? | dougmachin
04/8/2022 10:27 | Chart looks good imo now with 200d SMA crossed. | aishah
31/7/2022 12:31 | For each car it must require at least how many charging cables must be more than one I would have thought.Definitely invested in the right place for decent growth then. | wskill
31/7/2022 11:53 | Volex’s scope, scale, and international footprint power the growth and acceleration of EV uptake. If governments are to meet their climate goals, sales of EVs will need to accelerate even more rapidly. The International Energy Agency (IEA) expects that, at current rates, between 25% and 35% of car sales in 2030 to be electric. BUT to meet the global goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, EVs will need to increase their new car share to 60% by 2030! This is a huge challenge. Volex is working hand in glove with automotive OEMs and EV infrastructure companies to supply the interoperable charging cables that can make these goals more achievable. No matter in which territories they are seeking to service, the global footprint of Volex centres of manufacturing excellence supports them in achieving their goals. 30/7/2022 08:14 | Agree there is no guarantee in shares at all. But in my view it's a very nice incentive to take the scrip issue shares at a cheaper price and the company keeps more cash. I'll take the risk that the price is above the scrip issue price when the divi is paid. | pauliewonder
30/7/2022 01:19 | Yep, but with the recent share price gains, there's no guarantee the share price won't fall back to below 297.60p. It's a good move by MGT (IMO) as it all helps to firm up the share price at the 300p level. And with positive news this week from the US (Apple / Amazon) and generally market sentiment changing, there's also the chance we're going to motor back to 350p. Hmmmm, I might just take a chance and take the scrip divi... | dougmachin
29/7/2022 18:03 | Dividend price is around 6% lower than current share price so would make sense unless you want to stay nicest elsewhere or need the money | pauliewonder
29/7/2022 17:17 | they are offering a scrip dividend - wondered whether it's something i should consider | ali47fish
28/7/2022 18:50 | Lots of positives for VLX at the moment. Shipping container prices have dropped 35% from its recent highs. Copper prices down 24% on the year, should be very positive in inflation costs.. | igoe104
28/7/2022 14:31 | Don’t shoot me down for comparing apples and pears ( ie two quite different phenomena ) , but it is striking that the share price graphs for Volex and the Scottish Mortgage Investmemt Trust are virtually identical . Of course Scottish Mortgage is invested in mega-companies with very high P/E ratios which ( unfortunately ! ) isn’t the case for Volex , but Volex is perceived as a growth company with a global footprint and great prospects for growth . The Scottish Mortgage IT share price has gone up from £ 6.70 to £ 8.40 in the six weeks since the 16th June . The US Nasdaq jumped up 4.06% yesterday because , although the US Federal Reserve again bumped up US interest rates by 0.75% , there were hints that this médecine is proving effective and that further rate rises might be a little less severe . I own Volex but not Scottish Mortgage . | mrnumpty
28/7/2022 08:25 | Looking very positive. | siggs44
28/7/2022 06:59 | Last night's market action in the US should put some more wind in the sails too. Big moves up in power cable and EV names. | ijamlon
28/7/2022 00:35 | Yep, even though there was a Monday pull-back, superb to see Wednesday's rise. The other 4 times the share price tried to rise to 300p, it crashed back down to below 250p. So without wanting to tempt fate, this weeks's share price down and up is very encouraging... | dougmachin
28/7/2022 00:22 | Just need to break above 300p. | its the oxman
27/7/2022 16:21 | Marching back to 300p again, be nice to see it hold this time. | wanttowin
26/7/2022 08:59 | Yes,you're quite right, the volatility is off putting.I'm not sure that it's traders as such, more the algorithms that are dictating the trading patterns.Trading in UK equities is relatively light across the board especially during the Summer when most parties are stuck on the M20 and airport lounges. There's a temptation to take profits where available because there's global uncertainty and every rally seems to lack durability.I've bought in here but not in size and remain with a sizeable overall cash position. The risk/reward in equities in pretty skewed and frankly its stressful and irritating to cope with equity trading currently. That said,Volex has enjoyed a significant price recovery, rising around 40% from the post results slump. | steeplejack
25/7/2022 21:50 | According to the LSE site , 197,309 Volex shares sold today , but 339,265 shares bought , so you might expect share price to recover . Just because the share fell back today , there is no need to sell . Indeed , if you believe in the future prospects of Volex , you might seize this opportunity to top up but DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH . | mrnumpty |
