26/8/2020 13:38 | Yep, looks like we are definitely breaking out £2 could be on the cards soon. | igoe104
26/8/2020 13:27 | Still here from 82p and not planning on going anywhere for a while. Break out!! | acefromspace
26/8/2020 12:40 | I bought in at 132 hoping to double my money on the 2021 broker est.I get the feeling after all these director buys I will be holding longer. They also may have plans for that increasing cash pile. | patient fox
26/8/2020 12:18 | Sorry, meant the CFO, corrected now. He does seem to know the business very well - if you have the motivation, the year end announcement webcast (or whatever it's called) was very good indeed. | imastu pidgitaswell
26/8/2020 12:10 | I think the CFO has put his hand in his pocket too, normally they're the most frugal when it comes to buying into their company, but this one has been a bit more profligate. | owenski
26/8/2020 11:49 | Although I suppose if you have a stake worth £65m (25% of the market cap of £260m) then investing under a million and increasing the total value by several million is worth it? :-) I do find it interesting, and it was one the things that first made me think there was a way back for this lot, when the guy who owned 25% of it became the CEO - being so obviously hacked off with the succession of CEOs who didn't know what they were doing. He didn't have the best of reputations as an executive at the time, and it took some time for the turnaround to gain traction - as it would do if done properly. It's also clear that the CFO is major factor in the turnaround too. And he also continues to invest - a (rare) good example of management's interested being aligned with those of the other shareholders. | imastu pidgitaswell
26/8/2020 11:21 | "Volex plc (AIM:VLX) announces that it was notified on Tuesday 25 August 2020 that NR Holdings Ltd purchased 500,000 Ordinary Shares of 25 pence in the Company during the day, at an average price of 165 pence per share. Following this purchase, Nat Rothschild, Executive Chairman of the Company, a beneficiary of NR Holdings Ltd, will hold 37,965,595 ordinary shares, representing 24.94% of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company." Well, that explains the volume. another £825,000 quid spent on company shares by the EC. +24% is a decent amount of skin in the game and buying at these levels too, suggests conviction IMO. | owenski
26/8/2020 09:38 | And approaching the previous peak. Not sure that it will matter, as the cause for it falling back was the start of the pandemic. As things (for VLX) are relatively benign, it may well just continue on up. Dunno - we will see. | imastu pidgitaswell
25/8/2020 11:32 | Volume's keen today. | owenski
19/8/2020 13:55 | Recent news - helps to explain the strong performance from Volex over the last few months. The data centre segment and the electric vehicle segment should cover any shortfall in traditional industrial customers..... In the second quarter of 2020, revenues of AWS grew 29 percent compared to the preceding quarter. AWS is one of Amazon's strongest revenue segments, generating 35.03 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 net sales, up from 17.46 billion U.S. dollars in 2017. AWS ranks as one of the most popular public cloud infrastructure and platform services running applications worldwide in 2019, ahead off Azure and Google cloud services. | reddevils1
19/8/2020 07:09 | Good to see a CFO spending on a company, over £74k's worth. | owenski

17/8/2020 12:56 | Looks as though £2 is on the cards by October 2020 | wwick
11/8/2020 15:45 | I like the way they run this business and their approach and thinking behind the business model. NR strikes me as a professional entrepreneur type with good business skills. Competent management. | owenski
11/8/2020 11:37 | Looking like it - headline price may not have changed much, but the bid price is up 5-6p since yesterday, and nearly 30p (over 20%) since 30th July. Still hate the spread issues on small caps personally, but it is what it is. It's having a go anyway. | imastu pidgitaswell
10/8/2020 09:35 | New breakout? | sooty snipes
10/8/2020 08:54 | Oddly perky - not complaining, but given it was available for 132 less than a couple of weeks ago, not sure why. | imastu pidgitaswell
07/8/2020 19:27 | And again ,Volex plc (AIM:VLX) was notified on Friday 7 August 2020 that Mrs Sharon Molloy, wife of John Molloy Chief Operating Officer, purchased 50,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") on 6 August 2020, at an average price of 145 pence per Following this purchase, the combined beneficial holding of John Molloy and his wife is 1,311,589 Ordinary Shares in total, representing 0.86% of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company. | epicsurf
07/8/2020 12:42 | Plus we still have the growth of EV cables market, which will be continue to grow and grow and eventually I can see being biggest sector for VLX. A strong long term holding for me. | igoe104
07/8/2020 12:36 | TT Electronics | reddevils1
07/8/2020 12:19 | Going pretty well after that dip down. Nice opportunity to add there(taken) but not liking the spread. Same reservations as previously, but as a business, doing very well with excellent management. | imastu pidgitaswell |
