Not if it's the precurser letter of intent diku. Penalties are applied when contracts are signed normally.

Vodafone installs 4G on phone boxes across four UK towns and cities

03 March 2022 – Vodafone is using clever technology on phone boxes across the country to ensure customers and businesses can keep enjoying a great 4G mobile connection. Phone boxes in locations across Bournemouth, London, Reading and Winchester have been kitted out with miniature 4G technology units adding extra mobile coverage and capacity in the area, without adding clutter to the high street.

As the country comes out of lockdown and returns to work, the demand for data on the move is expected to grow again. As a result, nine phone boxes located in Bournemouth, London, Reading and Winchester have had technology fitted on their roofs which give a Vodafone 4G signal with a 200-metre coverage radius. This will mean more customers can use their mobile devices to stream HD videos, download maps and access websites within seconds.

The activity is part of Vodafone’s latest network modernisation programme to improve both 4G and 5G for UK customers. The programme will see the retirement of the old Vodafone 3G network in 2023, with coverage replaced by strengthened 4G and 5G services, so customers can access a more reliable connection in more parts of the country.

Andrea Dona, network & development director at Vodafone UK, says, “Our network has never been busier. Customers are connecting more than ever when they’re out and about, using maps, keeping up with work on the go, and using social media.

“Using these phone boxes to house mini 4G technology means we can keep up with demand and make the most out of existing structures on our streets. Adding more 4G coverage is important to us and our customers as we prepare to switch off old 3G technology next year.”

Similar technology has been introduced in phone boxes in Brighton, Edgware, Edinburgh, Guildford, Harrow, Oxford and two busy beaches on the Cornish coast, Polzeath and Sennen Cove.

I have a question as to possible solution to Ukraine situation

The Chelsea owner Roman abramovitch when refused British citizenship ? Went to Israel who granted him citizenship

How many of these obligarch cronies of comrade Putin followed that same path and acquired Israeli citizenship

If Israel would take the lead and revoke that citizenship maybe just maybe it could give some impetus to the finding of a solution for the terrible tragedy occuring at this moment

It is a wild idea but if this idea was put forward by the state of Israel there is less likelihood of anyone being accused of anti semitism

Off topic I know but just thought I d put it out there wheels within wheels and all that

Getting back to business there has been sustained selling across a range of stocks could this be the selfsame obligarchs liquidating their assets if so those monies should be unavailable to them while the Ukrainian situation persists

Paranoid I know but what do I know

Be careful keep safe

Further to the announcement on 23 February 2022, Vodafone Group ("Vodafone") confirms that on 24 February 2022 the sale of 63.6 million shares in Indus Towers Limited ("Indus") was successfully executed through an accelerated book build offering (the "Placing") at a price of INR 226.84 per Indus share (the "Placing Price"). The Placing generated net proceeds of approximately INR 14.2 billion (US$189 million).

Following the Placing, Vodafone entered into an agreement with Bharti Airtel Limited (one of the existing promoters of Indus, "Bharti"), to sell a further 127.1 million shares in Indus at a price which will be the lower of:

i) the Placing Price less the broker fees associated with the Placing (resulting in a price of INR224.5763 per share); and

ii) the volume weighted average price of Indus, calculated over a trading period up to the date when all conditions to completion have been satisfied, less the 9.9% discount at which the Placing was completed, less the 1% broker fees associated with the Placing.

The Indus shares related to the Placing and the agreement with Bharti (the "Primary Shares") were all subject to the security arrangements entered into between Vodafone and Indus.

Vodafone notes the announcement made by Vodafone Idea Limited ("Vi") on 3 March 2022 approving an equity raise of up to INR 45 billion (US$600 million) by way of a preferential allotment (the "Vi Capital Raise") and the scheduled meeting of VIL shareholders on 26 March 2022 to approve the Vi Capital Raise. Vodafone intends to contribute up to INR 33.75 billion (US$450 million), in the Vi Capital Raise, from net proceeds realised through the sale of the Primary Shares. Vodafone has the option to contribute any residual proceeds from the sale of the Primary Shares as capital to Vi before 15 July 2022. Any residual proceeds that are not contributed to Vi will be available to Indus until 19 November 2022 to guarantee Vi's obligations under the Master Services Agreements.

Following completion of the sale of shares to Bharti, Vodafone would retain 567.2 million shares in Indus, equivalent to a 21.0% shareholding (the "Residual Shareholding"). Vodafone continues to be in discussions with several interested parties in relation to a potential sale of the Residual Shareholding. There is no certainty that an agreement will be reached in relation to such a sale. Indus will continue to have a secondary pledge over the Residual Shareholding ranking behind the security provided to Vodafone's existing lenders for the EUR1.4 billion loan utilised to fund Vodafone's contribution to the Vi rights issue in 2019.

A further announcement will be made when appropriate.
