01/7/2009 09:50 | Slight tick down this morning. Over the past two and a half weeks there have been 514,000 shares traded - 144k Buys (28%) & 370K Sells (72%). No news during June either. Dealit - are you still holding these ? This share is still on my Watchlist but I haven't yet decided to invest. NB: The other so-called 'serious investors bb' seems to be completely dead - no posts at all over the past month | masurenguy
01/6/2009 14:24 | What IS your problem ? "This bloke, (M'guy), comes around with his (premium) tag, and asks ... can you please add Charts and News ... and disappears." I first came accross this thread when I started researching the company last week. My post complimented the thread author (you) on the header and simply requested Charts and News to be added (a very simple task) so that this information was readily available from a single source, as is the case with most other threads on ADVFN. Why should it matter whether I'm a premium subscriber or not ? Do you have a problem with premium subscribers ? And what exactly do you mean by 'disappears' ?. My post was only made last week wheras your previous post was almost 5 weeks ago. I didn't come onto this thread and state that it would appear to have been abandoned because the thread author hadn't posted anything in nearly 5 weeks ! Why on earth would a routine request prompt such a hostile and contentious response ? | masurenguy

01/6/2009 13:36 | Well, well ... not so well! This bloke, (M'guy), comes around with his (premium) tag, and asks ... can you please add Charts and News ... and disappears. I put a news line in... but ..., well personally I get news and charts elsewhere and prefer a simple 'uptodate' header explaining what the company does. | piedro
26/5/2009 20:49 | Good, informative header but can you please add Charts and News. | masurenguy
01/5/2009 19:30 | I just wonder where all these flu antivirals that are being stock piled by the companies that are making them, and governments, and agencies, across the globe are being stored, because you cant just stick them in cardboard box and bang them in any old warehouse , they all need to be kept at a certain temperature and under strict guide lines. Maybe VDN can help with on site storage or off site storage. We will see. | walker10
29/4/2009 17:46 | VINDON Healthcare may set up operations in the United States as demand for its services soars across the Atlantic. Rochdale-based Vindon currently manufactures storage chambers and other equipment for customers in the US and saw sales surge from £46,000 in 2007 to £289,000 last year, which contributed to record turnover and profits for the AIM-listed firm. Chairman Liam Ferguson said AIM-listed Vindon may now establish its own storage facility on the East Coast. "We'll make a decision in the next few months but there seems to be enough demand to have one," he said. | walker10
29/4/2009 17:19 | I think we have a 'Tap' going on here blocks of 50,000 shares being put to the market. | walker10
29/4/2009 13:34 | In a word no - But Vindon has seen revenues increase by an average of 20% per annum over the last four years, and with the astute management team in place, I wouldnt think for a minute that they would build a socking great big new factory for it just to store fresh air !! I would expect them to see this trend continuing until its full. We will see. | walker10
29/4/2009 09:57 | I have created a new bb for serious investors. Still 'under construction' but walker10 found it. | piedro
29/4/2009 09:40 | walker10, It would seem that the Company is putting much emphasis on its storage facilities and their accessibility. Do you have any information on terms of the storage contracts, security and insurance cover ? | piedro
29/4/2009 09:02 | 24.March.09 Ferguson said there was "good visibility of future income" with £4.05m of annual service contracts and unexpired stability storage and heritage storage contracts in the books at the year end. The chairman added: "The group's business is underpinned by long-standing relationships with many of the global pharmaceutical companies and the expansion into heritage, ultra-low temperature and cryogenic storage. This, together with its strong balance sheet and excellent new facilities, enables Vindon to be cautiously optimistic of the Group's performance in these uncertain times." and Vindon's cryobank will be able to store stem cells, DNA and bone marrow at temperatures as low as -150 deg C down to -197 deg C, compared to its current ultra-low temperature storage of -86 deg C, which is suitable for biologics and specimens. Patrick Jackson, Vindon's business development director, said the cryobank would come into its own when the use of stem cells, still in their infancy, become more commonplace. Jackson added: "Stem cells can readily be extracted from the umbilical cord of a newborn child and stored under cryogenic conditions for the donor's lifetime." | walker10

28/4/2009 13:31 | walker10, This little company might get rather busy with drug storage etc - they are also winning work from across the pond Are you implying that you know something that we don't ? If so, perhaps you would share it with us. | piedro

28/3/2009 14:49 | shooting star, have a look at ASSETCO (ASTO) they tick all the box's for my requirements as I stated on my last post. dyor | dealit
25/3/2009 20:39 | shooting star, bought these as you did shortly before results, did some research felt results would be good and they were. In saying that the share price dropped back today someone sold 100000 late Tuesday not to concerned as I have decided to keep these in my portfolio. As for share tipping, research companies with results due out pick the once with good trading statements and no bad news check the charts and make sure the share price is down and buy a day or so before the results are announced. I have done well of late with ams, pts both rising 20% I then sell and move on. BE LUCKY | dealit
25/3/2009 10:25 | i was very encouraged by the results, which supported my rationale for buying in just before them. Good revenue visibility here, solid cashflow, one to tuck away for the Long term imho. I expect that there will be positive write-ups in private investor magazines after today's site visit & the numbers dealit & Piedro would be interested to know if you have spotted any other small companies out there with similar attactive characteristics to Vindon? Clearly a lot of companies seeing tough trading conditions. I recently bought into DRV on the basis that contract dispute resolution services to the construction industry is likely a booming area. | shooting_star
24/3/2009 20:17 | dealit, I do feel they are news shy ... no doubt ... they don't make the best news .... those storage chambers are a reminder of meat freezers or worse, then there is the blood and bits of animals,(babies?), and now their latest interest is historic remains,(old bones?) ... | piedro
24/3/2009 17:48 | Good set of results today, I have only just bought into Vindon my research was positive. They seem to have a niche market product paying dividends at this stage of there development is very encouraging. I do feel they are news shy which may be holding the share price back, long term hold I feel with a steady dividend income. | dealit
24/3/2009 10:56 | Positive report Significant points IMHO: The initial storage capacity of the new facility represents a six-fold increase in volume over the old facility .... ... long-term contract in the heritage storage market with a leading British heritage institution. successful transfer of the operations to the new purpose-built facility at Kingsway, Rochdale. With sterling efforts by staff over the August bank holiday, ... In December 2008, Vindon received a substantial order .... Although more debt, they have new contracts, new storage space and room for expansion. | piedro
22/3/2009 09:11 | I feel also this is a time to get in here. Future growth is the key that triggers stock market interest and with the new premises on line this is what Vinden are offering. | dealit
17/3/2009 21:54 | i bought some Vindon shares today on the pullback. I am anticipating strong numbers next week. Backed up with the site visit the day after to Rochdale I can see a scenario where the shares move a lot higher thats what Im hoping anyhow! although economy cleary tough market estimates look pretty conservative to me -especially if you assume they must be looking to attain a decent return on capital from what they have spent on the new premises | shooting_star |
