Their just rolling over the current agreement till the new one gets finalized, as suspected it will... I guess be for a much larger volume of gas hence the wait. They are fast tracking a pipe from the testing of the new wells to use the gas for production so they should have increased capacity within months.

I vaguely remember that ENEO was said to need another 50mw per year just for Douala when the new capacity was installed, two years ago.

I'm with Dan, the delay is due to th4e drilling slippage, once it's all completed, hopefully with increased reserves, then we'll get an uplifted deal in terms of scuffs.

Don`t forget that ENEO have 50mw of oil fired generators sitting doing nothing at the two power stations, could they be thinking of converting/have converted them to gas as well and they are waiting for the results of the drilling before moving onto a much larger supply agreement?

that might be the case drh, I'm not so sure, 104 and 105 are adequate for current needs and more so when the gas plants upgraded, if that is the case then it could be they intend to include "the third power station" having said that if the delay is because eneo want more security of supply they just need to fast track Bomono.

it's no coincidence that the delay in the power contract renewal is because of the drilling delay....the two are mutually exclusive
