24/12/2015 12:45 | startrekker. Good business if you ask me. VCP get rid of a bad company, Lawtons did not pay a great deal for it but they have the assets. | rotrader
24/12/2015 08:31 | Westwood Yarns gone bust two months after sale. Very suspicious! | startrekker
20/12/2015 20:14 | Can't get my head around the valuation here, small profits, riddled with debt, no dividend yet the market cap is north of 200 million. On paper I believe these are overvalued by between 60 - 80%. What am I missing here ?? | eastbourne1982
25/11/2015 11:58 | Do not seem to have made there minds up yet - good or bad - looks like as expected. Have taken some profit recently, may get back with a few before the divi returns. | rotrader
24/11/2015 09:57 | Results should be out this week - then we will see about your overvalued comment. Up 10p this morning | rotrader
05/11/2015 16:42 | This company is way overvalued and the share price is beginning to crack. | wiseacre

11/10/2015 00:12 | for those interested, check out JLP and WRES next week. NEWS COMING!! platinum is making huge recovery since last week and JLP got the RNS intraday on Friday and not many would have seen it. both platinum player AQP and LMI have surged strongly last week. JLP, as a low cost platinum producer, not yet recover and will hopefully start to make recovery next week. Furthermore, AQP platinum got a takeover offer which now make many to believe JLP will soon get its takeover target/JV partner, potentially after mining licence is granted, which is expected in this month. those interested can dyor on JLP and see the huge potential in there, with JLP sitting on $4bn worth of assets and mcap only 30m? no wonder JLP was 30p a couple of years ago and now making the comeback. another potential for multibag will be WRES, CEO target 3p with share price now only 0.6p expecting rerating RNS in JLP and WRES anytime next week/this month dyor | gavinbell
10/10/2015 22:57 | The comment on the other thread - regarding the CFD. I think that the company say they are indemnified for NI payments and tax but that means HMRC have to go for the Camden Trust instead. My only concern for the CFD is that the directors have a liability for doing the CFD when they knew they could not pay (this was confirmed when they said that they would give shares instead of cash because they could not meet the obligation). I thought that companies could not enter into agreements they knew that they could not fulfill? Does GBW have a claim on the assets of the company in that case and what liability is there against the company in terms of agreeing a deal that they knew they could not fulfill? | bearsie
07/10/2015 19:11 | Taken my profits here over the past couple of weeks. AIM after all and not currently paying a divi. Less room for error now than where they were 6 months ago. Carpetright have no debt at all, mkt cap just 30% higher than VCP, fully listed and 3 times the sales. A slight increase in margins there and the profits rocket - far greater corporate governance on the main market too. Been a nice ride but better risk about here imo CR | cockneyrebel
07/10/2015 10:54 | Westwood Yarns have been sold to Lawtons.Maybe acquisitions have stopped and now is the time to get rid of the deadwood. | alemein
24/9/2015 20:32 | Well finally some sense. Interfloor group has a dire set of accounts, they have been passed from one private equity firm to another over the last 10 years, the company has never made much profit on its huge revenue. | bearsie
24/9/2015 19:49 | car sector in the mire not long before carpet sector gets a kicking acquisition accounting smoke and mirrors | dlku
19/9/2015 14:29 | I was at the AGM`m so I can guess now. This has been an amazing ride and lots of magic done to create wealth. The strange part to me was giving him 50% of the company for returning that 300p. Yes I was part of it . I go back to AB and looms from Ireland!! Anyways some fantastic companies in the group now inc Westex etc so I think this has further to run. The issue is there are no comparables due to fast changing situation etc. To Date GW ( who I spoke to in the early days) has done a great job. Past failures can happen but clearly this poster thinks its more than bad luck. Guess the secret is to get off at one of the later stops and not the terminus station!! best Tiger | castleford tiger |
