I dont think it’s a bid at all or an MBO. I just think it went down to 40p with some big sales and shorting and now it’s all cleared and rerated so to speak and it’s a mega recovery play and highly geared . Also AIM stocks are on the up generally fore a recovery in 2025 |
Morning John In play now is VCP. I'm convinced a bid is coming |
Morning all |
I actually thought similar - the new Director just appointed holds 10.92%, Geoff Wilding owns 22% , Saqib Karin holds 7% and all other Directors have been buying in market too. Morgan Stanley holds 12% and continue to increase so they could be part of the MBO. Together they hold 52% so an MBO / cash offer makes sense as they only need funding for the remaking 48%. They will probably want to get to 65% with on market purchases before making a full offer hence all the buying. This would help them fend off any counter offer. |
So an all cash offer is highly likely and the TR1 announcements all conveniently looking smug. The value for a VC or II is huge and risk is low. The cash flow and cash generation is significant and given now the debt to be reduced and positive cash flow to also increase, this could, and is likely, to mirror high flying stocks.www.investment-insight/victoriaplc.com The flags are there and from what has been muted, an all cash offer (given the future paydown on debt) and reduction in debt suddenly makes this massively undervalued.Institutions buying on the back of Ready for the recovery with a much leaner cost baseConsequently, it is expected that the positive impact on FY2026 earnings will be circa £32 million in total and the cumulative cost savings targeted by the end of FY2027 is expected to be in excess of £80 million. |
Went into auction at 4.24 and didn't open again. Could see a big gap up tomorrow |
Market makers were struggling last 15 mins. I really don't think there's much free stock based on their behaviour |
If?
It will tomorrow and/or next week |
If it gets another run up, which is looking a possibility, I could actually be in profit!!! |
Carbon copy of yesterday
Strong AF |
Market makers trying hard to hold it here but not for long me thinks. |
No US markets today given the day of mourning for Carter stateside . We may still see some interest in UK stocks though! Maybe even more than normal? Let’s see |
Market makers gathering as much stock as they can by the looks of it |
You just used Gemini to AI a response!I'm very aware of algorithms and to that very point that's how they are used to drive a share in the direction of tbe beneficiary.Change the AI response to UK spelling and it'll remove all the z in each word and replace with S.Thanks for the advice and guidance - top man |
the only thing one needs to know about trading....
trader4659 Jan '25 - 09:35 - 3520 of 3522 Edit 0 0 0 If one cuts losses at 6% and takes profit at 12% then one only needs to be correct 50% of the time to be profitalbe.
everything in between is noise, people who take too much risk usually losse everything, by managing risk its difficult to lose 100% of account |
Trader. So are you saying that's a savvy investment decision to buy £25k in a stock that had a total percentage swing yesterday of 16%.If you're in a FTSE100 then yes set tight stops but in a stock that already this morning in 90 mins has reach 118 and down to 105, I think it's a case of taking a position and believing in the story. Was that your trade lol |

"roughandtumbleone9 Jan '25 - 08:46 - 3515 of 3518 Well which clown purchased 21339 shares at 117.2 and sold at 109.96 just 45 mins later losing £1545 plus costs????"
Isn't that called good risk management? The loss is just 6%, so if one is using a 5% position size the total loss to the account is just 0.3%.
roughandtumbleone9 - where do you cut your losses? At what percentage of your account do you risk? |
Been following the story here and what does interest me is the amount of TR1 that have been released by some big hitting IIs.The efforts yesterday to manipulate the price to then drive it north to satisfy some chunky buys removed shares from the weak and mild and I expect and suspect some more increased holdings to be announced. The oscillations and manipulation is just noise... this can and will move quickly ...Just need more patience than mr or mrs 21339! |
Consolidated nicely around the 1.08. Hopefully see a shift back above 1.30 next week or sooner if the Director buying continues |
Some profit taking is to be expected. As long as the big buys keep coming in we'll be fine |
Well which clown purchased 21339 shares at 117.2 and sold at 109.96 just 45 mins later losing £1545 plus costs???? Warren Buffet eat your heart out! |
I dont buy these drops at all. Not with all these new buyers |
Nope thats what im asking I don’t have it. 2 brokers should have updated |
