05/7/2004 14:55 | 200,000 rollover at 10:17am. Would have looked better if they made it above mid instead of below, I know TDW at least always give you the choice. Also it looks like an inverse rollover as no purchase of that size appeared in the last 25 days. | exotic
29/6/2004 14:49 | Bid up but only on the face of 3 little trades. Vianet have to do something before we see 10p again. Something useful like actually announcing a deal. | danny_boffin
29/6/2004 14:21 | Is there life in the old dog yet?...bid up today.... | badabing
24/6/2004 08:27 | 2 weeks of going sidesways followed by a tick up, certainly looks like we broke out of the downtrend, and good to see some blue again | exotic
12/6/2004 19:45 | BadaBing I would be happy in either VTB or this stock. As bad as each other and both should be on the way down. | haystack
08/6/2004 14:59 | Yes I was very surprised it fell so far, although most TMT stocks were falling around the time. If it wasn't for the geo political situation back then, I think it would have bounced at 9p and gone on to make new 52 week highs. | exotic
08/6/2004 14:53 | Exotic, I know exactly what you mean......funny how they droped so far and have now brought it back again though....wonder what they were thinking of...anyway, I would rather be in these than in the VTB at the moment, though I do hold both.... | badabing
08/6/2004 14:50 | Still rising, nice and slowly. Good to see, though I'm a bit reluctant/superstiti PS. Added 3 articles to the scroll box yesterday. | exotic
07/6/2004 12:07 | VIA must be getting recommended by a broker somewhere....buys coming through at the moment and price has lifted quite well in recent couple of days......low volumes but positive all the same.... | badabing

03/6/2004 09:22 | "Orrock said he expected to announce a continuation of the contract "within the month"." Hopefully he has learned from his mistakes and is not making promises he can't keep. With any luck this one might just come true! | danny_boffin
29/5/2004 14:12 | From The Scotsman..... Vianet on track as it cuts losses by 25% ALASTAIR REED VIANET, the Dunfermline-based technology minnow, has further cut its losses and said that it remains steadfastly on course for a profit within two years. The Scottish group, which manufactures technology that allows vending machine operators to monitor stock levels remotely, reported pre-tax losses down from more than £1 million to £748,228 for the six months to the end of March. Sales increased by more than £180,000 to £200,427, but once again no dividend was paid. Executive chairman Ian Orrock said: "Losses are down by 25 per cent on sales that are up tenfold - admittedly the numbers may be fairly small, but for us they are very significant. "I have been greatly encouraged by the performance and am extremely bullish about the future." Selectra, the largest supplier of food and drink machines in Europe, signed up Vianet's technology on a two-year trial at the end of 2003, and has already ordered an extra 500 machines on top of the existing 250. Although another of Vianet's clients - Red Bull - has sold its vending operations to a third party, Orrock said he expected to announce a continuation of the contract "within the month". Shares in the group, which is one of Scotland's smallest listed companies with a stock market value of just £10 million, closed down 6 per cent at 7.75p - which Orrock attributed to investors taking profits. He added that the future was looking extremely encouraging, saying: "We are quickly becoming the industry standard - a lot of our competitors look at our products quite jealously." | badabing
27/5/2004 16:56 | Losses reduced by more than a quarter. Not too bad at all, and certainly nothing in the results that justifies today's -7.6% drop. Though to be fair, I think any company announcing in the current market climate gets hammered regardless. But what counts to me is sales growth. So many companies on AIM have great ideas, great technology and great products, but fall over because the marketing fails to bring in the sales. Sales growth for VIA was still very impressive; £200,427 compared with £17,245 for the same period last year, an increase of over 91% And it does sound like the sales team was seriously beefed up in January this year. | exotic
27/5/2004 09:43 | Some interesting results. Selecta taking their time but it looks like they are giving it a serious trial. May lose Red Bull depending on what happens with the new vending machine operator. Alcatel/Orange deal confirmed for the support of vOpen. I liked the sound of Alcatel creating a dedicated sales team. Bit of a mixed bag. Would still like to see more trials signed up tho. Mike | devbod
27/5/2004 09:39 | pretty neutral results seems like some potential but no orders for 6 months definitely a hold | dickdasterdly10000
26/5/2004 16:53 | There's the usual 100,000 buy at mid. Even though it's a T trade, it can only be a buy and made today at mid price. Why? Well, if it was a sell made yesterday and not cleared, then it wouldn't have cleared today either because all the other trades today were sells. So it must be a buy, and I would speculate it's linked with whoever keeps mopping up the other 100k's on a regular basis, also at mid price. Not too important in the grand scheme of things but interesting none the less. | exotic
24/5/2004 11:27 | I see EVO dragged this down earlier to get them on the cheap and WINS and have seen them off...for now anyway...nice to see another MM prepared to go head to head with EVOs for a change..... | badabing
20/5/2004 11:15 | so the article in the Scotsman pre xmas was basically a ramp to get the rights issue away? | dickdasterdly10000
20/5/2004 11:14 | I have a feeling that 100,000 just gone through is not the sell that it seems. No other trades get close to that price, and I've noticed other trades of the same size have been going through in the last few weeks bang on mid price. A week or so ago when there were nearly all sells and a 100,000 at mid, the price held firm and L2 ticked up. | exotic
20/5/2004 09:37 | Not sure where you are coming from there....last month's trades don't really show any major volumes going through to me.....am I missing something here? 11/5/2004 17:15 | Someone's been bargain shopping, but isn't it about time we had some news? | loosehead
30/4/2004 15:55 | Range and/or momentum traded (I'm not an expert on this tho). When you look at the 6month chart, you can see where the 3 main features are between March and April. When the stock starts going back up, most of the sellers will probably pile back in. When it turns down, the opposite will probably happen. Note, however, that the highs and lows are both getting higher at each turning point, which is very positive for longer term holders. | exotic
30/4/2004 15:50 | forgive me for my naiveness....what is range trading? | big_cat |
