Posted at 27/3/2025 22:43 by pwhite73 reality3 - "I'm telling you now no investor is going to make a £500k investment for 15% of the company where their investment is immediately at a loss.."You make this statement because you and that even more ignorant buffoon supernumerary don't know the difference between a strategic investor and a financial investor. Read and learn. "What Is a Strategic Investor? - A strategic investor is an individual person or firm making investments with the goal of gaining strategic advantages from the partnership. Rather than being concerned with financial returns, a strategic investor is looking for a strategic partner that will enhance their company’s future operations, whether through innovation or synergy." "Strategic Investor - A Strategic Investor is an investor in a company that is itself an operating company (or an affiliate of an operating company). In this case, the issuing company may have accepted the investment of the operating company because the investing company may be a valuable customer, supplier or other strategic partner." So in short the strategic investor is a larger company than Versarien that is already in the same line of business and is looking to enhance its own operations by assisting Versarien in the development of its products and services. |
Posted at 27/3/2025 18:50 by reality3 I'm telling you now no investor is going to make a £500k investment for 15% of the company where their investment is immediately at a loss when measured against current share price. Professional investors don't work that way, unlike you and the other mugs still holding on in here. |
Posted at 24/3/2025 11:43 by zydecoco They were like lightning getting that RNS out of this morning's GM authorisation to print more share certificates. PW73, said "Not long to wait now to see who the strategic investor is the GM is on Monday 24th March 2025 10:00."I reckon they will be not like lightning announcing the Strategic Investor though... |
Posted at 14/3/2025 15:06 by sloppyjoe2 "They say there's a chance (but zero guarantee) of an investor taking a chunk of shares, and they're careful to say these may not be at a price premium and then quantity may be less than they quote and even may not happen at all."They need a new story, they've used that one before. Remember the Chinese investor who was going take to 'up to' 15%? Turns out 'up to' is actually 'zero'... |
Posted at 10/3/2025 12:04 by pwhite73 willoicc - "15% of the enlarged share capital after the 'strategic' investment is about £252,000 at .032. Even that plus 100% premium is not going to last very long."I don't think its the money from the strategic investor that they are relying on to make a difference. It is more likely to be the name of the strategic investor. In the world of fantasy if the strategic investor was Elon Musk, Saudi leader Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Bill Gates etc the size of the investment would be of irrelevance. The company also used the term 'strategic investor' as opposed to just an 'investor'. This implies that someone has or sees a long term plan for the company. |
Posted at 28/2/2025 14:23 by willoicc A stock split occurs when a listed company splits its outstanding shares into more shares, often to make the shares more affordable for retail investors and therefore attract more investment. The company’s market cap and the overall value of each shareholder’s investment stay the same during a stock split, but the price of each share is reduced as the number of shares increases.A consolidation or reverse stock split is when a company wants to lower the number of outstanding shares and increase its share price. Some stock exchanges have a minimum share value, so a company may employ a reverse stock split to avoid being delisted from said exchange. This can also take place to make a company appear more valuable to potential investors, as a higher-value share could improve sentiment. |
Posted at 28/2/2025 13:31 by drjos I, Dr. Jan-Oliver Strych) comment mostly on LinkedIn where I built up a network of many larger shareholders and can disseminate my thought to professional investors that are in my network (I am a banker, mostly for venture debt and development loans). I have accumulated Versarien shares over the last weeks to a level that amounts to the third largest position in my portfolio. So, I have a lot of skin in the game.It is surprising that the extension of the maturity of the Innovate Loan has rather no effect on the share price. I think that Versariens catastrophic share price development has been caused by the placings that were worst managed. Now, traders and market makers are just preparing for the next placings and might short sell. My expensive proprietary stock lending data exhibits literally no borrowed shares that is not surprising given lending fees between 280 and 1100 percent per year. Nevertheless, I expect that naked shorts might exist, because market makers are exempt from the obligation to borrow shares if they sell short. As you see, bid volume is 4om that is huge. I think those volumes are manipulative because retail investors look at trading books and might become anxious. As former assistant professor of finance I know a lot of top studies on manipulative order books, in particular by hich frequency traders. Thus, I never analyse order books, I prefer analyzing short data and fundemantal data. Given that I am right with naked shorts and/or manipulated order books, I expect a huge jump in the share price if Versarien discloses funding by prepayments of potent project partners, grants, and sale o Total Carbide that might render another placing obsolete until substantial revenues start. Thus, I prefer beeing invested at any current price to not miss this rocket. |
Posted at 22/12/2024 10:24 by pwhite73 The Cronk - "you're the only one that thinks it's a lot of money!!"£15,000 is a huge trading sum of money for retail investors. The MM would never take a £15,000 sell in one go for a tiny cap like VRS unless certain they could pass them on to other retail investors within T3. |
Posted at 14/12/2024 11:53 by pwhite73 Those who were once invested here continue to post because of what is termed as 'closure'.In the US when someone is murdered the family of the murdered victim do not have closure until the murderer is executed. So long as the murderer is alive he/she is the last person to have seen their loved one alive. So long as Versarien is trading as a listed company there is no closure for those who have lost money and those who's profits have been dented by a prolonged investment. Only when Versarien is delisted from the London Stock Exchange can previous investors or disgruntled interested parties claim closure. What I have just explained is not a new phenomena. It is one of but not the only reason why retail investors continue to post on a thread long after sometimes years after they have sold out. THE COMPANY MUST DIE. |
Posted at 19/4/2024 11:17 by seedoftongo Nobody wants to see fellow investors lose money, but often they are their own worst enemy, ignoring the obvious red flags and becoming part of a collective where doubts and concerns are not permitted.“ nobody wants to see fellow investors lose money “ ??? This is ADVFN , we love to see other investors lose money . It’s what it’s all about . I like to see an investor lose everything , become desperate and plead for help from other investors . At this point I like his pleas to be rebuffed and further mockery …. That’s what happened to Festario ( elsewhere ) . |
