Over past 18months government have given 100 million state aid to help Nissan car plant in Sunderland. They are also planning on giving Tata another 100 million in aid. In the same time period they have loaned 45billion to hundreds of UK companies of which many loans are unlikely to be paid back.As far as I can see the only government support for vrs is a 5 million loan, albeit on very good terms. I keep reading every day vrs are heavily backed by government. Have I missed the multi million pound government order for arches, facemask or concrete?

also in recent news

The CVD plant and equipment has now been successfully transferred from Hanwha to its new premises leased by Versarien Korea Limited ("VKL"), with re-commissioning underway. We have been assisted by our South Korean partner Graphene Lab Limited ("GLL") which, as previously announced, took a 15% stake in VKL as well as subscribing £1.93 million of new capital to Versarien. The VKL board has also been strengthened by the appointment of three new local directors

Not just the gardens to see at Highnam Court. Some superb vintage motors there on occasions ;-)

(It's on my route to/from Cheltenham)

EDIT: Checking my car photo dates, it was 9 years ago!

all in recent news...

5 litres to 100 litres thats massive...i wonder why

"Batch size increases have required the design and procurement of resin dispersal scale up equipment, including the purchase of a large processing vessel that will take our current graphene/resin dispersion from five litres per day to up to 100 litres per day."

"The lack of any firm RNS newsflow of late"

are you for real...

you must have missed this.

less than 3 weeks old

plenty happening

Significant progress has also been made with the GSCALE project, for which we have now purchased additional graphene production equipment at a cost approaching £1 million."

Acquisition of manufacturing assets to provide up to an additional 100 tonne powder capacity per annum

ink scale up equipment to give up to an additional 12,000 litres of ink capacity per annum

development and supply agreements have been signed.

"Highlights include the development and supply agreements for textiles and the number of infrastructure opportunities following the successful pourings of graphene enhanced concrete."

"We are in advanced discussions with large infrastructure contractors for new rail, road and water applications with projects and trials / demonstrators being planned or already being built"

Biopolymers -

"AAC Cyroma will supply an initial batch of portable suction devices for clearing blocked airways in emergency and chronic health conditions which has the potential to make current technology obsolete. This will be manufactured from bio-derived nylon polymer"

With regards to additive manufactured concrete printing, we are progressing the purchase of a £250,000 robot printing system that will produce graphene enhanced 3D printed structures with a reach of 3 metres in every direction and up to 5 metres high. A significant rail infrastructure project is already engaged in discussions with a view to Versarien's technology resolving current challenges in their programme. The robot printing allows complex structures to be printed in situ and in open or confined spaces near live railway lines without the need to close the line. The potential benefits to the project include improved operator safety (as the robot can print remotely from its operator), less 'live line' downtime (trains can keep running) and efficient and economic delivery of enhanced concrete structures in the rail environment. Similar opportunities are recognised across the road and water sectors too with projects being planned

I think Neill was merely showing some respect to a business acquaintance who's wife has recently died, as the person in question appears to be the former High Sheriff of Gloucestershire who NR has no doubt had dealings with in the past. Give the guy a break - everyone is allowed a few minutes of personal time in the day!

The gardens at Highnam Court are certainly wonderful, but it is maybe rather worrying
* just how much time NR seems to spend on twitter and such like;
* and NR's inability to focus at least his CEO twitter account upon things that broadly relate to things VRS; ideally, to things that directly involve VRS (either now or soon);

VRS generally, and NR in particular, need to move away from vagueness & ambiguity, towards specific truths and hard & fast comments on what has happened.

At the moment, concrete certainly appears a firm reality (though still at a very early stage of development) and the MoD contract also appears to be generating real revenue.

But, those two apart, the rest is still very much hope, and wait & see.

The lack of any firm RNS newsflow of late must certainly now become a very real concern, accepting that those close to the inside of things will already have a pretty good idea how this particular speculative punt will play out.

I'm not sure when my own drop-dead date is here, but I'd suggest if NOTHING of any meaning has been delivered in terms of graphene-related revenue by the END OF NEXT YEAR, i.e. end of 2022 - then even I, as a broad supporter of VRS and the groundwork it has delivered over the last few years, will begin to need to consider that VRS is just not destined to fly upwards to the degree I had hoped.

Against the above background, it would be great to see NR clearly working during at least normal working hours and with a clear focus upon his main priorities.
Gardens are indeed lovely, but let's try to keep ourselves anchored firmly in reality.

Some news has to be repeated because it seems that some people keep on forgetting just how much progress is being made by VRS. I, for one, don’t tire of being reminded.
