i am a war child and, like david owen, still lick my plate.
i have worked in yugoslavia, germany and italy. i couldn't feel less like a brit.
sovereignity is a chimera. just ask amazon, google, f.b. etc
national govts have no power apart from raising and spending taxes
it has been so since the 70's, long b4 maggie [whom i still admire for all her faults] and ronald [he of 'they don't look comfortable in shoes'] got their fingers into the neocon pie.

Don't agree. We must leave with no deal to escape the EU "communists" who want our money and to rule us ie the UK. We voted to leave and leave we must.

This subject raises unseemmly passions, and should not escalate here, but you have provoked it. We are IMO less likely, after Brexit to be "able to control things in our country" , the UK, which may disintegrate, and more likely to bind ourselves to the USA and its falling values, drives to cheap manufacturing, Big Oil pollution etc.. I too dislike the Brussels burocracy, but a prime motivation of those in the countryside and in Northern Cities, I have spoken to, is to reduce the dilution of Englishness, now happening by the establishment of ghettos. University and other Education, Research and Development is likely to suffer atrociously in future if we Brexit 'No Deal' but there is an increasing possibility of a second referendum and a return to collaboration wth the EU.

I lived through WW2, was working full time in Germany between 1956 and 1973, learned to appreciate Konrad Adenhauer's dream of ending European wars and have always found collaboration up-lifting and far better than going it alone.

Scary to watch the way the cult member mugs lap up each & every tweet NR makes & hang around salivating, waiting for the next one. They actually believe him.

As we've seen when he was on holiday, if he doesn't continually blow smoke up the cult members bums & reinforce the mug view this is something special the share price goes down like a tyre leaking air.

I wonder how long the mugs will continue to believe? I see a more sceptical attitude on super's ramper thread so possibly some are starting to wise up & the tide is turning.

One thing that definitely undermines the bull case is the inability or refusal of the rampers to answer straightforward questions, which they seem v. reluctant to do.

Interesting comment by Neill on Twitter.He's intrigued watching the battle between longs and shorts but more interested in the late reported 180k trade that just appeared.Can't see it on sdvfn feed as yet, but could explain the upswing today
