Nice timing for what could be an interesting week ;-)

"UK-listed companies will be able to sell shares in China for the first time from today as the London-Shanghai Stock Connect service opens.
The initiative forms part of the countries' efforts to build greater economic ties as China looks to open markets despite the trade war with the US and the UK prepares for life after Brexit.

It will give international investors the opportunity to invest in over 260 of 1,500 Shanghai-listed companies - those seen as eligible to participate - for the first time as they are able to secure a stock market listing in London.
UK firms can do the same in China - bolstering access to shares in each country and allowing firms to raise capital."

"The launch of Stock Connect is being marked during a visit to London by Chinese vice premier Hu Chunhua.
Chancellor Philip Hammond is due to say at the London Stock Exchange Launch: "London is a global financial centre like no other, and today's launch is a strong vote of confidence in the UK market.
"Stock Connect is a ground-breaking initiative, which will deepen our global connectivity as we look outwards to new opportunities in Asia."
He attended a conference in the Chinese capital in April to promote Beijing's multi-billion dollar Belt and Road Infrastructure structure programme to develop new land and sea routes with the West.
Mr Hammond said then his aim was to help win lucrative financial, legal and design services contracts for UK firms."

Detractors I see are picking up mud that didn't stick when they previously threw it - and throwing it again. Clearly experiencing a shortage of fresh mud. ;-)

Alchemy I hope you’re on the right track with those figures.

Where do you get the various figures from?

I’ve funnelled about 18 months pension contributions in here so any of the share prices you’ve postulated would do nicely, but I’ve called a halt to putting more funds in for now until something that is revenue generating is announced, thereby proving NRs long gestation period process works (enquiry, response, collaboration, test, validation, leading to large scale commercial release)

Im excited and positive - but I’ve been excited and positive before and lost several packets. I’m running out of packets to lose.

Cheers

We are going after success in five sector/segments currently. Some of these multiply by geographies and it's possible to get quite poetic. This is resisted here.Three stagesProven commercial success.Early maturity.MaturitySo £500 million marcap for proven commercial success. 1 billion for early maturity 2 plus plus for maturity So for five successes £15 or so per share.4 early maturities £24 per share3 full successes £36 per share.Lots of combinations , thin on them .

Evidence gathering points to return deposit schemes as best way to reduce plastic pollution. Tests with vrs 2D materials ongoing re bottles and packaging per d kerr twitter recently. Could be Ideal candidates for such deposit schemes? And graphene could mean less plastics are used in tyres too? All heading in the right direction. Aimo. Best ellis

"Deposit scheme could dramatically reduce plastic waste – report

Sandra Laville

Fri 14 Jun 2019 05.40 EDT

"...A comprehensive deposit return scheme in England could prevent 6,600 tonnes of plastic waste entering rivers and the sea by 2030, according to an analysis of the government’s proposed waste strategy.

Of the measures being considered by the government to tackle plastic pollution, the assessment by the charity Common Seas reveals that a DRS on all drinks containers, not just small bottles, would have the most dramatic impact..."

"...Tyre dust is the greatest contributor to plastic pollution in rivers and seas, the report says, with about 14,000 tonnes of plastic entering watercourses each year from the impact of driving and cars on the roads. The government’s waste strategy does not address this key contributor to plastic pollution.

“The impact of the strategy is zero or small for both tyre dust and plastic pellets,” the report said.

“This small impact is driven significantly by the challenges in preventing the flows of microplastic pollution into the watercourse. “Microplastics, such as those generated from the wear of tyres and textiles are emitted in high volumes and their small size makes them hard to manage … there are currently no alternatives that would eliminate tyre dust … other than through modal shifts and reduced use of transport....”

"Global heating to inflict more droughts on Africa as well as floods"

"...An example of such flooding occurred two weeks ago when it was reported that eight people had died south of Kampala in Uganda after torrential rain hit the region. Similarly, at least 15 people were reported to have died during floods in Kenya last year. Thousands lost their homes.

“Our research suggests that extreme bouts of rainfall are likely to be seven or eight times more frequent than they are today,” said Kendon..."

“..Africa is one of the parts of the planet that is going to be most vulnerable to climate change,” said Kendon..."

Spid, you only appear here to post things that you perceive to be negative to vrs. Hundreds of posts and nothing positive. First it was about the capacity, then the spec sheets (until vrs became the first and only graphene company in the world to successfully complete the Graphene Council's "Verified Graphene Producer" programme, along with Chinese National Graphene approval), then it was posts about the size of some collaboration companies (obviously no post when the collaboration is with a global major).
Now we have posts about vrs employees.
You seriously need to take a hard look at yourself.
