Posted at 22/12/2024 21:06 by the cronk PW,Oh come on, VRS has many retail investors, so not hard for the mms to pass on to some of them, £15K is not that much in terms of the market. If the mms didn't want it they wouldn't have taken it, they know how to manipulate the price to attract buyers, that's their job, they make on the margin. |
Posted at 22/12/2024 10:24 by pwhite73 The Cronk - "you're the only one that thinks it's a lot of money!!"£15,000 is a huge trading sum of money for retail investors. The MM would never take a £15,000 sell in one go for a tiny cap like VRS unless certain they could pass them on to other retail investors within T3. |
Posted at 14/12/2024 11:53 by pwhite73 Those who were once invested here continue to post because of what is termed as 'closure'.In the US when someone is murdered the family of the murdered victim do not have closure until the murderer is executed. So long as the murderer is alive he/she is the last person to have seen their loved one alive. So long as Versarien is trading as a listed company there is no closure for those who have lost money and those who's profits have been dented by a prolonged investment. Only when Versarien is delisted from the London Stock Exchange can previous investors or disgruntled interested parties claim closure. What I have just explained is not a new phenomena. It is one of but not the only reason why retail investors continue to post on a thread long after sometimes years after they have sold out. THE COMPANY MUST DIE. |

Posted at 19/11/2024 08:51 by the cronk "Most had no chance from the day of listing that's why they list on the AIM in the first place. "I don't agree with that statement at all, I believe there are some genuinely giving it a go, it's simply AIM listed companies are far more risky that most investors appreciate. Everyone is dreaming of "10 baggers" whilst more substantial companies make steady but unspectacular returns, yet win over time, a tortoise and hare scenario if you like. The 10 bagger brigade don't follow such companies of course. I believe the AIM market is doomed on it's current trajectory, the number of companies is dropping dramatically as investor appetite diminishes as everyone becomes aware of the damage forward selling and mass dilution causes to their wealth. Quite simply they have become too greedy and are running out of gerbils to fleece. |
Posted at 17/10/2024 08:08 by hpcg bbm - small caps on the main market can do the same. Fundamentally I think public markets are the wrong place for pre-cash flow positive companies to develop. The market has little appetite to provide subsequent batches of capital in up rounds, and investors, very much my self included, don't have the skills to properly assess what a biotech or technology company is doing.Very relatedly I also get the impression that most of the companies that come to market do so because they can't get private backing. There are plenty of listed enterprises that invest in early stage companies for normal investors to take a stake in growth. One needs diversity. That said, yes, some AIM companies come good, and the inflection point between cash negative and cash positive is a great place to get involved. |
Posted at 04/10/2024 11:46 by zydecoco PW. "The fact there are so many down votes on deramps indicate real investors have taken confidence in the corporate update."To me the sudden significant increase in downvotes of non-bullish posts so immediately after a nothing RNS clearly indicates that those who are trying to influence the Chat thread, such as yourself, are attempting to do so with their paid accounts. Your record shows you are not a real or investor, but it could also show you are a serious manipulator whose views prospective investors may wish to steer well clear of. |
Posted at 04/10/2024 09:49 by bbmsionlypostafter mk2 "real investors" & VRS in the same sentence does not compute. This has always been AT THE VERY BEST a share promotion scheme. Real investors spotted that a mile off & steered well clear. |
Posted at 09/5/2024 14:20 by pwhite73 DTaliadoros - "so any new investors would be putting new cash in know it will be sure to be diluted further down the line."Yes. However dilution is not a problem on a rising share price and this is why people are putting in new money. It is believed (at the moment at least) that the new CEO will raise the share price as commercial traction begins to bite. The company has already stated that it will need to rely on the equity markets until it becomes profitable. This is not an issue on a rising share price. The problem for new shareholders arises if the dilutions are taking place at a lower share price. The last placing was at 0.125p. The previous placing before that was at 0.08p. If the next placing is lower than 0.125p then there is no point in investing here. The company will have to issue positive news to attract new investors at higher prices. If the share price dilutions are on a downward price spiral then investors will eventually call time and the company goes into administration as is happening all over the place. That the company is invested in graphene means they have a better chance then most but there is a limit to investors patience. |
Posted at 19/4/2024 11:17 by seedoftongo Nobody wants to see fellow investors lose money, but often they are their own worst enemy, ignoring the obvious red flags and becoming part of a collective where doubts and concerns are not permitted.“ nobody wants to see fellow investors lose money “ ??? This is ADVFN , we love to see other investors lose money . It’s what it’s all about . I like to see an investor lose everything , become desperate and plead for help from other investors . At this point I like his pleas to be rebuffed and further mockery …. That’s what happened to Festario ( elsewhere ) . |
