Listen pal...you started by attacking me saying I was deramping....and all I done was just respond to a question that somebody asked....think what you like...you mean nothing to me and I don't have to put my facts of trading up on a BB just to please you......like I said before...good luck with your holding here....over and out..!!

what deleted posts??? i deleted the extra info. re the general meeting results as a someone said about it being to long and that was it.

As you've sold hhmmm yeah whatever why keep coming back??? I think people should sell any losses to offset against their cgt.. laters

jwoolley - 3 Mar'10 - 09:21 - 395 of 404

Your not missing anything....I was in these since the British Biotech days....and after the recent annoucement, I thought enough is enough. I sold out at a big loss and am only thankful to use the loss on this years tax return.

so a 'big loss' - then you made it back .... hhhmmmmm

so your negative comments aren't a de ramp then..

can't you communicate without writing the filth etc...

IDS - IMHO I hold at 90p and after reading the article 366 am pretty bullish, when you look at IG's history he has one of turning round and selling on at a profit, so will hold on for 12 months

....I don't need to speculate...its what you wrote...and I also noticed your deleted posts as well....but don't worry...I have them for you...

Suggest you grow up and realise when your wrong....and me touchy....lol...I have already made my losses back from this share....so I'm quite happy...!!!

just like facts and from your post, clear you were just blah, blahing even had me mixed up with someone else. as you posted yourself I've not ramped vernalis, just posted on latest for holders.. unlike your goodself who with every post goes for the not so subtle de ramp - I think most holders will sell up by end of tax year for cgt purposes... hmm how caring of you..

Sounds like your more touchy....and sorry....mixed up your name with someone else....have always been happy with my lloyds holding mate....and currently in profit with them on my holding....but dont think the share price should be where it is....think you have mixed me up with someone....I hardly write on there anyway...good luck to you here....I think you will find a lot of disgruntaled PI's on this share...which will also possibly sell up to the end of this tax year for capital gains purposes....

jwoolley, when have I ramped?? idiot. you were never happy on the lloyds thread either you must have the touch. Personally I think Garland is doing a better job, has a history of increasing shareholder share price value overtime, so we'll see.

I feel these will go down further and further and then probably ask for more money....just to line Directors pockets.....cant see the share going anywhere but down....there is also similar comments on the iii board....good luck what ever you decide to do...!!!

good morning! I have held these for years....am wondering if there are other longterm holders out there? I am a bit confused......a couple of years ago, they did a consolidation ( I think it was 1 for 10 ).....then they did a 1 for 20....in the meantime the shares which I now own are virtually worthless.....am I the only one who thinks something is foul here or am I missing something? how have these guys managed to screw up what was looking like a really interesting prospect....? I am not de-ramping...would appreciate comments ref the consolidations...thanks.

Vernalis plc

Shareholders approve Vernalis' GBP28.5m (net) Placing and Open Offer,
Share Capital Reorganisation and a waiver of
the obligations under Rule 9 of the Takeover Code at General Meeting

Vernalis plc (LSE: VER) ("Vernalis" or the "Company"), the development stage
pharmaceutical company with a broad pipeline of clinical and early stage
programmes, announces today that the Placing and Open Offer, Share Capital
Reorganisation and waiver of obligations under Rule 9 of the Takeover Code
announced on 11 February 2010 were approved today at a General Meeting of
shareholders.

Vernalis announced on 11 February 2010 that it was proposing to raise
approximately GBP28.5m, net of expenses, through an underwritten Placing and
Open Offer of 39,413,722 New Ordinary Shares at a price of 76 pence per New
Ordinary Share (subject to the effect of the Share Capital Reorganisation). The
Placing and Open Offer has been fully underwritten by Piper Jaffray.

At the General Meeting held earlier today, all the Resolutions that were set out
in the Notice of General Meeting included in the Prospectus published on 11
February 2010 were duly passed.

The results of the Placing and Open Offer were announced earlier today (1 March
2010).

The final step in the process to complete the Placing and Open Offer is for the
New Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange and
to listing on the Official List of the Financial Services Authority
("Admission"), which is expected to become effective tomorrow (2 March 2010).
Vernalis can confirm that following Admission, the Company will continue to be
listed on the Official List of the Financial Services Authority.

Ian Garland, CEO commented:

"We have today received a strong vote of support for the proposed Placing and
Open Offer and the proceeds will enable us to regain 100% of Frovatriptan
Royalty Stream, by termination of the Paul Capital Healthcare Agreements that
were entered into in April 2008."

"Regaining the full frovatriptan royalties will make Vernalis debt-free and put
us in the enviable position of having a sustainable and growing revenue stream.
Together with the cash we will receive from the successful fundraising announced
today, this gives us the financial security to progress our pipeline, to
diversify our asset base through in-licensing and acquisition opportunities and
to continue to re-build shareholder value".
