25/3/2019 00:24 | And the new VZ BB is now here: NYSE:VZ | pvb
04/4/2016 08:19 | Yes it is now obsolete. The share price link is Red I am selling. And as pvb knows , the link to the VZ BB is f For reasons that the presumably late MIATA knew , he set up both BBs. | wad collector
01/4/2016 13:28 | You realise that Verizon, as VZC, is no longer being quoted on here, as the ticker no longer exists on the LSE? | pvb
01/4/2016 13:19 | As there is no such entity as 'VZC' anymore might it be more appropriate to transfer operations to VZ? Despite 'VZC' still being apparently quoted on the charts above. As MIATA appears to no longer be around, perhaps somebody should start again from scratch on a thread for Verizon. | pvb
01/4/2016 13:13 | wad buying or selling? | redartbmud
01/4/2016 13:10 | Tried to trade just now ; forgotten those lazy Yanks don't open until 930 their time. Just like the old days here.. | wad collector
31/3/2016 17:51 | VZC has gone, so it's over to VZ from now on. | pvb
31/3/2016 15:22 | Strange ; trades appear to have carried on all day but unusually none are buys or sells. | wad collector
31/3/2016 14:56 | The deed is done: | pvb
30/3/2016 15:29 | The dollar share price has increased but the forex has fallen so the share price has been much the same for the last week in GBP. Wish this was a GBP graph. | wad collector
09/3/2016 13:09 | Sorry duplicate. though did unload some more at £37.09 | wad collector
09/3/2016 13:01 | For the record ,as sadly MIATA has probably departed this planet, divi has been $2.24 in last 12 months. Thus yield currently 4.3%. Except that withholding tax shaves it to 3.65% and forex takes it a little lower. Just below the ftse 100 average yield of 4.2% though with the benefits/drawbacks of currency volatility. £37 is tempting me out . | wad collector
07/3/2016 17:44 | I am being offered trades on NYSE from Selftrade who continue to quote in GBP , so cannot see this is an issue as they are clearly not trading on LSE after hours. More to the point the share price is now £36.80 so thinking about unloading some more , despite the USD rate falling. Confusingly selftrade list the portfolio share price value in USD but convert to GBP . | wad collector
03/3/2016 13:29 | My broker, TD Waterhouse, said it would make little difference except when I am dealing I would need to go to international dealing desk. Of course this would be the case if one were simply asking: "How can I trade in Verizon Cmmunications (VZ) - a US company." The question we need the answer to is what happens when our LSE VZC listed securitie are delisted. | pvb
03/3/2016 12:22 | Just tried for a quote with indicative price £36.55 and got the exchange closed message. Despite trades still happening on lse. | wad collector
03/3/2016 11:59 | Thanks. Will look to sell mine today but i'll be lucky if I get better than 1.43. Still a good profit though. | ig01
03/3/2016 11:34 | I don't know their margin , they quote a price in sterling. (Selftrade) About to unload the rest of mine I think. | wad collector
02/3/2016 21:06 | Wad Does your broker not charge a FX percentage? "Just let half mine go for £36.60 or $51.12 = 1.3967." TDW charge me 1.5% which means £36.06. Could have got $51.7530 today but after their commission etc. it still only comes out at £36.18. | ig01
01/3/2016 12:37 | My broker, TD Waterhouse, said it would make little difference except when I am dealing I would need to go to international dealing desk. Mind you I did not feel very confident about her manner...at one point she suggested I read up about the problem. I will hold on and see what happens. | 666james
01/3/2016 11:18 | My broker has said they will send information on when they get it themselves. | pvb
27/2/2016 17:12 | thanks for responding pvb. I will ring my broker on Monday morning to see if they can throw any light on the problem. I would really like to keep these if possible as the divi is steady and just recently the share price has been increasing nicely. I will try google and see if there is any similar situations. Thanks again | 666james
27/2/2016 09:35 | 666james, I have not so far been able to find out from the www what happens in a situation such as this. Easy to find out about delisting itself but I don't know if this applies with dual listing. Will we have to sell? Will they be converted to US securities? Will we get cash? I will have to ask the broker. | pvb
26/2/2016 18:11 | Thanks wad....I am sure most know this but VZ on American exchange and VZC on UK,I got caught with this! | bili1946
26/2/2016 17:53 | pvb I have just left you a message on VOD board asking if you know the consequences of the delisting and you appear to be asking the same. Does anybody know the "in's and out's" when this sort of thing happens? | 666james
26/2/2016 17:14 | Probably it was originally to allow any VOD holders who wanted to to sell off their VZC holding cheaply. Though wasn't there some special arrangement to do that initially? Or am I imagining things? | pvb |
