Posted at 01/4/2016 13:28 by pvb You realise that Verizon, as VZC, is no longer being quoted on here, as the ticker no longer exists on the LSE? |
Posted at 01/4/2016 13:19 by pvb As there is no such entity as 'VZC' anymore might it be more appropriate to transfer operations to VZ? Despite 'VZC' still being apparently quoted on the charts above. As MIATA appears to no longer be around, perhaps somebody should start again from scratch on a thread for Verizon. |
Posted at 31/3/2016 17:51 by pvb VZC has gone, so it's over to VZ from now on. |

Posted at 03/3/2016 13:29 by pvb My broker, TD Waterhouse, said it would make little difference except when I am dealing I would need to go to international dealing desk.Of course this would be the case if one were simply asking: "How can I trade in Verizon Cmmunications (VZ) - a US company." The question we need the answer to is what happens when our LSE VZC listed securitie are delisted. |
Posted at 27/2/2016 17:12 by 666james thanks for responding pvb. I will ring my broker on Monday morning to see if they can throw any light on the problem.I would really like to keep these if possible as the divi is steady and just recently the share price has been increasing nicely. I will try google and see if there is any similar situations. Thanks again |
Posted at 26/2/2016 18:11 by bili1946 Thanks wad....I am sure most know this but VZ on American exchange and VZC on UK,I got caught with this! |
Posted at 26/2/2016 17:14 by pvb Probably it was originally to allow any VOD holders who wanted to to sell off their VZC holding cheaply. Though wasn't there some special arrangement to do that initially? Or am I imagining things? |
Posted at 26/2/2016 14:50 by wad collector It has belatedly dawned on me that the share price chart in USD does not allow for Forex. So this weeks sterling weakness combined with the share price rise makes a more attractive selling price . Just let half mine go for £36.60 or $51.12 I can't find a chart which gives the sterling prices. Odd considering my deal was done on the LSE and is in sterling. |
Posted at 03/2/2016 20:12 by bili1946 Little confusing this stock! (For me anyway).Attempted a sale today via TD; listed as VZC but traded in $ on the LSE.They will of course convert for you at TD but an expensive exercise.......alway |
