03/12/2001 11:19 | very interesting cross trade with mm's perhaps selling between themselves - don't want to be short. Increase in volumes anticipated perhaps. | mjhalpin
03/12/2001 10:32 | Anyone know the reasons for delays with ICANN over (.pro) contract? Could be announced any day, but was supposed to have been 3rd Qtr. TIA | alsfar
03/12/2001 10:10 | mj, I am hoping this week could be good but 0.5p down at the moment and all buys. Traditionally very low volume traded with this share but 500,000 on Friday and 40,000 so far this morning suggests an increase in market interest. Definitely oversold in the past in my view. Positive trading statement a month ago with a sharp increase in trading activity mentioned. I am a holder and feeling positive about it right now. As always DYOR. | chadders
01/12/2001 00:19 | look at affinity today - its price is rocketing - up 26% to £3.15- and these were only 50p last month - not long before VET will be doing the same - it is looking extremely positive today | josiewalter
30/11/2001 21:51 | WINS spread was 22-27 at close of business today L2. Is this an indication of what is to come? hmmm | mjhalpin
30/11/2001 15:40 | von - they are one of the few internet companies with money to spend VET have cash of £8m or £9m and Market cap of £6m Could easily get a bid from Affinity or someone interested in the cash The interest is building - see today's trades - mostly buys - in my view its not long before we see it firing - please dyor - these are my views | josiewalter
30/11/2001 14:53 | Remember that Affinity is mainly a telecoms company now with its own network that cost &50 million to build and it bought it for &1.8 million. It only gets 25 percent or so from internet operations and that is dropping so comparisons with internet plays don't really work. | vonbrokenburger
30/11/2001 14:20 | about to start ticking up...... | gucci
30/11/2001 11:24 | Chadders - I too bought in last week and have an inkling that a bid is on the way, the price has been ticking up this week - I can see £1.00 in the near future imho dyor :-) | josiewalter
30/11/2001 11:18 | Josie, Something going on here me thinks. I seem to remeber there was a large private placing at the height of the boom for £9.00 or so, and according to the management, profitability is within grasp so I would not expect a sale of the business at this low price. I bought in last week at 22p, was in at the start at £2.50 and sold most at £7.00 but I have always liked their business model. Perhaps it has been oversold. | chadders
30/11/2001 10:26 | josie - I would agree with you I hold some of these shares price is ticking up again today!! | gucci
30/11/2001 09:59 | Affinity Internet has tripled in the last 2 mths. VET have cash of £8m or £9m I think Market cap of £6m Could easily get a bid from Affinity or someone interested in the cash there is a lot of interest about today | josiewalter

27/6/2001 09:24 | Trading below NAV still, even ignoring intangibles. Will they ever reach profitability. | mattharrop

28/2/2001 10:11 | Anybody got any recent news/views on this share? | fairdinkum
01/12/2000 01:01 | Completely agree Irlon, but it is always useful to identify those stocks that have got at least something to underpin their share prices. It is hard to see another 50% drop from this level, although this is still possible with other stocks without such assets. Recent newsflow has been good on this share. It moves very quickly on low volume which can be good and bad depending on your strategy. | mattharrop
30/11/2000 16:17 | Many internet on Nasdaq are trading well below net cash assets they have on their balance sheets. It's not inconceivable that VET could fall further since cash they had from the placing is being spent week in week out. | irlon |
