Bought in here at the open and very surprised that I was able to buy at only a tad over 20p , looking at the RNS releases this year it would seem that at last VENN are at an important turning point and momentum is building. There is a good chance that today's trading update will be an important catalyst imv.

Hopefully my purchase will coincide with a turnaround.

Plus a very bullish outlook.

... can anyone shed any light on what's up with this stock? I know it's very illiquid and there appears to be a big overhang. But surely this price action is ridiculous for a company with such good prospects.. or so we are led to believe.

There is your answer to the sudden weakness the other day.

1.4 mil sale at 17.75p guessing around a 4-5p discount took given the sheer
size of the block... desperate sale

Completely agreed. There were around 150k shares available to buy online in the early afternoon yesterday from memory, which is most unusual, so I suspect this is simply a rather clumsily arranged sell order. with the MMs trying to find a level which will find buyers in a falling and illiquid general market.

A buying opportunity imho.

I am not to sure you can pay any attention to buy/sell here on advfn as all to often mine are reported wrongly. I guess with such small volume it hardly matters unless someone has placed a large sell order, which I very much doubt.

If everything's so wonderful why did the share price suddenly drop 16% today on no news, with buys apparently exceeding sales by 3 to 1? It makes no sense to me.

Perhaps rationality is the wrong thing to expect in the crazy world of AIM.

A reminder that VENN were one of Techinvest's tips for 2016 - here's what they had to say:

"Venn Life Sciences (VENN; 21.5p) was a New Year tip last year as well, albeit now 26.5% higher. But the evolving story has continued to develop nicely over the period since, while arguably the share price continues to lag events.

Most recent Update notes were in the October (Page 4) and November (Page 1)
issues, both written at 22.5p. Taken together, these make a compelling case. One senses the Company has now attained a reasonable critical mass - the €1m-plus French contract announced late October certainly supports this.

Currently listed on AIM, the Dublin headquartered company will additionally be
listed on ESM, the small companies part of the Dublin Stock Exchange, with effect from January 18. Allowing for the October placing, which raised £3.5m at 22p per share, the market cap is still a lowly £12.9m."
