Thanks, Fairlight. That about sums up the problem - remembering that if the shares lose their AIM status then it's basically game over.

Amongst other things, a Nomad is responsible for ensuring that the company is a going concern and that it reports honestly to the markets. So it will indeed be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks.

Luckily, I'm only an amused observer. I don't short companies, full stop. And I only invest in ones that I believe in. (By the way, the discussion on this share on LSE today is absolutely priceless; it degenerated into a discussion about anxiety medications).

Chat's hotting up on VAST - lots of conjecture regarding the NOMAD - as stated in the RNS 16 December:

"The Company is in advanced discussions with a replacement nominated adviser which it expects to engage on, or before, 31 January 2017. Should a replacement nominated adviser not be appointed on or before 31 January 2017, its ordinary shares will be suspended from trading on AIM for a period of up to 30 days pending such appointment, following which, should a replacement nominated adviser not be appointed, Vast's admission to trading on AIM will be cancelled.

That spells it out - you make up your own mind - I reckon a new NOMAD appointed this week - probably tomorrow, if not the share price will drop.

lol 135m MCAP in next few weeks may even be a tad too optimistic for even most bulls here ;-)

I'd be more than happy with a 1p and a new NOMAD ;-), and is still a triple bag.

I truly do hope so. After the mauling PIs received last year it would be cruel to start 2017 with a countdown to suspension.

Get a life folks. Nomad will be appointed on time. Ask yourself isn't VAST better than 90% of aim companies? If so then why should they have a problem getting a new nomad?See you all at 1p by end of January. Happy new year.

OK, I'm done here, people. I tried; you've been warned. No wonder this company doesn't have any reputable institutional investors!

Dear NY Boy, The CEO is committing a crime if he answers your call and your question. And you're committing a crime if you act on the info, if he does tell you. It's called insider trading. So, no, it's not that simple. (Or, at least, it shouldn't be).

Shares can also be worthless whilst they are listed. It is the main reason why directors do not own any of their company's shares.

Answer to Temmunjim...

You need a Nomad because it's the rules. No Nomad, no AIM. No AIM = shares effectively worthless. Simples!

I don't know anything more about Vast Resources than is publicly available, but I have done my homework diligently. Unlike some of the other posters on this thread, I don't claim to have called up "Roy" and received inside information, which would be illegal if it were true, but which of course it isn't.
Full disclosure: I do know quite a bit about non-ferrous mineral extraction and about Romania (I've worked there), and nothing about Zimbabwe except what I've read in the papers. I'm confident somebody someday will make money out of the Romanian deposits (especially the tailings); I'm just not sure it will be Vast Resources in its current incarnation.
So I repeat: Vast is a company whose Nomad resigned (i.e. gave up a fat fee) for reasons unknown. The consequence of this is that unless it finds a new Nomad in the next month its shares are effectively worthless. Finding a new Nomad in the current AIM regulatory climate is no easy task. Vast is also a company which recently lost is CFO, who seemingly has since dumped his shares. Warrants for shares (on ridiculous terms) keep emerging out of nowhere, so I have no idea of the effective number of this company's shares, and I fear yet further dilution. I also have my doubts about some of the company's other representations. Isn't that enough reason to avoid like the plague?

Well said Sigora...stunning RNs 's and a tiny mcap.... Roy wants a new nomad ...only thing neg deramping posters can see is other stocks problems and relate them to ours ... Maybe Roy is dictating what is happening ....i want a new nomad ..you can resign if you like i was going to fire you anyway ...but i am going to push this company forward... Only 2 reasons for resignation is BS ...this is AIM ....
