Indeed, also telling that Mr Flattery hasn't topped up recently. Unless they are in a closed period at present?

When are results/trading statement due? At present we are just left guessing as to whether this is going to the wall or has some kind of future.

EDIT, the trading statement of 4 Sept covered the year ending 31/7, so we should get full year results soon - it may therefore be a closed period until those results are announced. Certainly some sort of outlook statement would be helpful.

Big Red Flag - founder who will still have contacts at the company dumping all shares at the lowest price.

Sadly the market seems to think this stock is going to go bust. Hope not but I've been here before!

Was it the founder of the business who has sold out at rock bottome prices? Hmmmm

For every seller there should be a buyer?
So, would it not be more interesting to know who is buying?

Ochs - probably some of those other reported sells are actually buys filling the large sell order.

If in doubt there are 2000 other UK stocks out there to choose from...

There have also been other huge sells today, volume is well over 10m, so it does appear like some people may know something and are getting out at any price, but I'm just not sure what to make of it. Presumably his son used to own a few UTW too?

Hi, I've been following this stock for some time more out of interest in Regent Gas' purchases than anything else.

So, either you have a forced seller (he's margined up his UTW shares as assets and has got screwed over in the recent market fall, or he's getting divorced etc.)
or he knows something and is selling out on a timeline we don't understand.

I do note the accounts look simply horrible, covenants must have been breached and any renegotiation of the debt when it's due will be onerous.

Looks like a typical AIM gamble to me. I expect it will go up with the seller finished but watch out for the overnight news at some random point in the future and it gapping down.

The rush to sell from Geoff Thompson and the way the shares have been dumped this morning suggests either a man in a huge hurry or it was beyond his control.

Bearing in mind his son is running an energy mis-selling claims company there's every chance he knows something :-)

He is gone, completely out, one trade today at 8p. It will bounce from here
here and there

Ok so he's out completely now - just spotted a trade for his remaining 6%. Does this mean it's time to buy or does he know something, ie. that this is about to go under? As the founder Geoff may not have paid anything for his shares... but still 8p compared to 200p not long ago is quite a bit less!

So if the price halves what will the %age loss then be?
freddie ferret
05/11/2018
16:17
Yes but that's still 100% loss from the current price!

Condolences to holders but why anyone would continue to hold a company who has had the revenue recognition issues that #UTW had is beyond me.

Issues were apparent with the share price above £2.

Another big fall on Friday afternoon. How much lower can this go? Market cap now only about £10m. The market seems to be suggesting it's gonna go bust or there'll be a discounted placing soon.
