Worries me that an established operator with low cost production still needs to finance working capital?

Wb,All depends which entity books the revenue for the oil sales...Ultimately there's probably an intercompany transaction(s) to ensure it is paid.It is also used as a vehicle to allow entities / service companies to fall over without bringing the holding company down too in event of a default...not saying that is the case here of course

Just wanted to point out than rather the parent UEN seeking loans, the subsidiaries now seem responsible for their own finance. Seems good to me, a positive move instead of the usual temporary finance from Petraco.

Stop poking the stick wannabrew. The board issued the Statement, not me or you or any MM or NOMAD.

They did.

No rules to say they had to or else we'd be seeing these type of statement RNS's all over the place and regularly. UEN have benefitted from the strong increase in oil and agreements by OPEC and Russian influence producers that they will keep production cuts going. There was scepticism that they could manage it but, as we went into the New Year it became apparent that they were holding.

People like me, you, gregpeck, Paul the O and even RCT began seeing the value in hammered stocks in the sector such as UEN. We've been buying. The BoD began talking about Capital Reductions and dividends and then Some traders jumped on board too and added fuel to the share price gains.

The pace was not electric. It was steady. No disclosures of 3% being suddenly acquired or increases of 1% by an existing major holder - like Adler - which would need to be divulged. Ergo, it is us PIs and traders catching the ride.

It was stopped in its tracks. My guess is related to the Capital Reduction which they have implied is to make the share price more attractive to bigger investors and instis.

It has to be a business plan or else why would they wish to not give shareholders some value at last? We are all agreed, mostly, that this is undervalued and would be better priced at 20p with peers in mind. Adler have rejected a 12.25p bid in the past.

At least another piece of news today indicates just maybe the wheels are turning quicker to producing both company and shareholder value at long last.

Has anyone else noticed the change regarding finance. Rather than the parent UEN taking on the loan.

I think it really is this time (this time next year Rodders)
A lot of us have been saying it for 9 years.

All I will say is that volume has been significant enough over those 40 trading days to accumulate without drawing attention. That's exactly how Fire East started when they made their attempt , very stealthily building on the quite.

Ok wannabrew, apologies if you are long and strong. But you are making out these buys are more than they are IMHO and maintaining that companies on AIM issue the "no reason" statements as they are told which make me suspicious mate.

I've been on AIM far too long, and in UEN almost as long, to know that the rules and regs are rarely adhered to unless it suits. Do you not recall all the dodgy history in this one company alone? They still go through Cyprus and can play the controlling card how they want, especially with, as you say, 44% in the hands of Adler.

They could indeed want to consolidate to make it so illiquid that they take it private, via an offer that gives us all, say, 7p.

But, your buys - like the 250k you mention - are very much PIs placing bets on oil doing better since OPEC deal. That is only £10,000 wannabrew, which, as I said, is hardly a major outlay for many PIs dabbling here. I bought similar amounts recently.

But, prior to the OPEC and Russian support I hadn't bought any for 18 months. It is not significant dealing here - yet...

It would seem to me we have found a base price of 4.5p for these.

As for consolidation, though I'm not too knowledgable on it, I think they will just name a day and do the business on the price at the end of that day whatever the price.
I would have thought that's how it works anyway.
Personally I think five for one so it doesn't take the price to high.

Tops, u got a mind 4 sure, taking and general advise to calm all the way to Damascus, wow.Generally, when some say "I will topup if they take to x" it is already too late as the gents got their powder dry and walking it down, mm loves those sort of things, yday someone said 4, and before RCT said 3p and tomorrow ?Q1 end is not far now, lets see where it will be...

You absolutely wrong about my position. I do not short. Last time you accused me of trying to ramp. I tucked this away in an ISA when the ISA aim rule changed. I've followed UEN for years but just have not posted. I believe good things will happen here. I'll only believe consolidation will happen when they announce the detail. Currently with so few shares in issue and 44% of those held by in effect one person through Adler, I just don't see the benefit to make the stock even more illiquid.

That 250k buy yesterday must be 'that pi' adding again and mm's worked the order for 'that pi'

OR

Either Adler is increasing here or some other interested party is accumulating.

Something is up when as calmtrader said yesterday you could sell 500k when the NMS is 25k. !!!

I told you all, the BoD want it lower before moving ahead with Capital Reduction.

PI action is just a nuisance whatever wannabrew reckons and they issued the Statement accordingly. There is no reason why they should do it any more than any other company does or doesn't.

Don't give me rules and regs with UEN or AIM generally! People like Wannabrew are just shorting IMHO.

Our BoD will react when it suits them, probably when the tanker ships in June. Paul the Octopus has realised it too it seems with his "careful what you wish for" road to Damascus switch...

Until the BoD acts then I'm correct.
