Guys I'm well aware of how the MM's operate... It just sucks how they are able to do so....

Forming an orderly market... yeah right...

14% spread... if this was a SETS stock this would not happen...

UEN is a gold mine for the MM's.....

MR K - See what the MM's did there? they walked the price down slowly for days (keeping spread fairly narrow) to force people into thinking it would keep falling - perhaps trying to buy back in cheaper), and then within the space of 30 minutes this morning close the door to new purchasers jumping by 2p...

It shows me that the MM's are stock building for the game to come IMO....

Before Sep 2007 the share price was above £3. If everything goes according to plan, I naively hope it would come back to it in a couple of years.

About "decreasing" of oil production:

Shmatko: crude oil production in Russia will not fall

It seems Cyprus registered cos will not be clamped down by Russia

Dmitry Medvedev began to struggle with the offshore


President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev proposed legislation to consolidate the mechanisms that do not allow companies to use an agreement on avoidance of double taxation in order to minimize taxes. The amendments affect transactions with foreign companies, whose ultimate owners are not resident in a country with which Russia has signed such an agreement, writes the newspaper "Vedomosti".

The changes affect all the countries with which Russia has an agreement on avoidance of double taxation, including the countries, the recognition of Russia offshore. All of such agreements signed by more than 60. Changes in legislation are not yet ready, but the Ministry of Finance claimed that even if there is an agreement on avoidance of double taxation of taxes to be levied on the Russian rates.

Now the Ministry of Finance is working on amending the agreement with Switzerland, Luxembourg, Austria. They will be similar changes, preparing to make the agreement with Cyprus.

Earlier in the Ministry of Finance said that Cyprus will soon be deleted from the list of offshore Ministry of Finance. In doing so, Cyprus has undertaken to disclose information about companies of interest to the Russian tax officials, as well as companies refuse to provide tax benefits if it is the main purpose of registration of companies in Cyprus.

Now in Cyprus for the optimization of taxation in Russia, many registered companies, non-residents who are shareholders of Russian companies. In 2008, the island, according to Rosstat, it is 56.9 billion of foreign investment - 21.5 per cent of the total. According to the data, which previously led the newspaper "Kommersant", about 90 percent of transactions on the stock exchange RTS runs through Offshore.

Offshore financial centers are traditionally considered to be attracting foreign capital through the provision of special incentives to foreign companies that agree to register in the offshore.
