21/5/2009 11:53 | There is some perception among Russian people that every 9th wave is always gigantic. Let's see | ucasavi
21/5/2009 11:48 | Navyan, if you go back far enough LMDP and I discussed Elliott Waves and related them to UEN.. But yes this could well be the start of wave 5.. | jonnyfro
21/5/2009 11:47 | spp - agreed, UEN are part of a cog to a very big wheel, this without considering UEN's Petro having excellent location to feed Japan by shipping, so not a one trick pony. Petro was also seen by BOD's as the most significant asset left to delist with. I guess the future exploration on the 800mboe urisked potential may be one of the reasons. | seabass
21/5/2009 11:46 | in EW theory, from what I can see, this is probably the beginning of the wave 5. anyone cares to comment ? | ![]() navyan
21/5/2009 11:32 | Seabass, Yup, that is I think at the bottom of it. But the dimensions are larger, much larger. For it is being replicated on the other side of Russia with the Nordstream gas line (half funded by German energy retailers like E.ON Ruhrgas), the proposed Southstream pipeline (50% ENI and some other smaller players) and the (proposed) Bluestream undersea gas link expansion to Turkey and thereafter to Israel and the port of Eilat for shipments beyond to India/Africa. Our UEN, eventually part of the wider feed to China and the Pacific states, is but a very small part of this massive Russian O&G universe. .....and creating this universe is where all sorts of troubles begin. spp119 | ![]() spp119
21/5/2009 11:17 | It is not just about supporting the financial sector, the Russian budget mainly comes from the oil/gas sector. So it is a life or death issue for the Russian state really. | ucasavi
21/5/2009 11:10 | spp - my hope is that monies lent to russia to develope O&G from china will find it's way indirectly to UEN through Gov's help to SB and the common benefit to ESPO. In uk our Gov supported Banks because we now rely on them for much of the financial inflow/economy, so it could well be a similar story for russia by supporting O&G for their future finances. Reading between the lines this is already happening as per the long term contracts being signed for security on all sides. Those with oil and no monies, those with monies but no oil. | seabass
21/5/2009 11:07 | dusseldorf, you are definitely not hte only one :o) hopefully it will all seem insignificant in the months to come. goood luck. | g3a

21/5/2009 10:59 | I think it was voluntary, as regulations in Cyprus do not require shareholders to declare their %. On the poss side that could mean larger investors from the higher prices could in theory have av down if they had wanted too at 2-3p like the rest of us. | seabass
21/5/2009 10:59 | ucasavi - depends whether this is BVI/Bermudan registered - no declarations necessary if so - would be purely voluntary. | dusseldorf
21/5/2009 10:59 | asking 9.25p | ![]() laserdisc
21/5/2009 10:58 | Seabass thank you, Pelham's clarification as to (1) EGM requirement for increase in authorized shares and (2)No EGM requirement to reverse prior vote, certainly elucidates and provides comfort with respect to procedural requirements. Like you I really do not believe any placing will occur at this early stage which would cause unwelcome large dilution. I would much prefer, as part of the D&T retention/restructur But I assume that is what the bargaining is all about. Maybe the conclusion would be a mix of both debt and equity..... Here's to hoping that's the case. (Because then, having the bank as a partner, our share price would really fly). spp119 | ![]() spp119
21/5/2009 10:53 | Last year Uralsib declared its holdings change. Was it just voluntary?(When on the way up, could have been just ramping, but they also did it on the way down.) So the seller decides not to, or he is private.. | ucasavi
