Noted that LBE expect their psc soon as that it involved "multiple parties, including Federal and State entities, and are anticipated to be announced in the coming weeks."

Perhaps these are being straight about their chances of getting the psc after all.
Thought that after the director buys but as market didn't seem unduly impressed kept them on watch.

Agreed, the PSC could land tomorrow... it's in the hands of State Govt when they issue which can be any time. Exec just need to show good governance and they will have a policy (you hope) on insider trading!

Agree, but does not mean that any 'good' news or 'share price enhancing' news cannot land anytime after the purchase (even a day after). The directors have to show that they were not aware of it, that's all.IMO

More director buys, shows some level of confidence, though clearly they are therefore not privy at the moment to any information that may impact the share price (the PSC award etc). Let's hope their confidence isn't misplaced, I like to see the exec team sinking their money in rather than not... in fact at 1.2p they will actually make a shed load if this comes off!

This drop under 1p has all the traits of a placing designed to bolster the company's finances to facilitate their case for a PSC.

Last two director buys down early 20%, I assume they are not up for throwing their money away so bought in confidence this is going to happen, market being very tough on UPL, key is PSC confirmation, when, who knows, but the writing is on the wall for the share price until they finally (if they finally) get the PSC award. I hope there is a lot of activity from senior execs and large shareholders (who have lost a packet) at State govt to get this resolved.

As per one of my previous posts on here, now that Sarawak have secured the Continental Shelf (no trolls, that's not the one behind the back seats of a Bentley!) , the Sarawak Government can get on with all the other important business that's been held up by that work. And get on they are.

And as per this news, it is the Sarawak Government that dishes out the pie, NOT Petros. Petros are GIVEN their piece of the pie by the Sarawak Government. So when UPL tell you they are dealing DIRECTLY with the Sarawak Government for the PSC, you KNOW that Petros do not have a say in the decision, the Government will give UPL the PSC if that is their decision, and UPL have certainly earned it.
