I recall way back when share prices used to rise monumentally on some oil stocks before the drill bit has even touched the ground. Nowadays it's very tight we have a perfect example in UPL with excellent management with proven track record and humongous potential and yet the share price is being so stingy in moving northwards. How things have changed. This is probably one of the best stocks at present dyor

Still a big seller yesterday.
Only 30 days until supposedly drilling,
yet no confirmation we are on track.
Disappointing the BOD are slow in
updating us , I think it's about time.
Looking good regarding the fact we are
above 4p , my target is 6p ..
at the rate we are going...

You cannot buy experience, it comes after time, study and practice.

Just check out the UPL BoD.

Their next drill cost is hedged with others.
Sarawak is not even priced into this share price
Tunisia is a prize waiting to be claimed.

Now what do you not like about, how this management team have performed.
Quality shows and that is why many of the Oil industry experts are invested here.
Some Oil based funds are also keeping their clients happy.
Just go along to the company presentations and see for yourself.

They know this is about to grow into a money tree.

All you need is patience.

Spangle, I started to buy at 2.6p/2,8p and at the time thought, oh why did I not find that early, must be the story of all or share dealings. I have only ever been invested in a company from day one and that was Tern and the only reason for that was I suffered owning Silvermere, out of which Tern was born. I eventually got the jitters at 48p and started selling.

HenryMcivor - agree, the MOU is indeed with Brooke. That defines an agreed working relationship between an exploration and production-focused entity with subsurface skills and an engineering contractor, to form a unit to jointly seek opportunities. The MOU itself isn't critical to the Petros discussion, the big positive was the phrase to do with the government smiling on it.

Euclid - No (and there was a limit to how far my interest could stretch in a discussion that wasn't intended to go that way ;-) I didn't get the impression they were as active as Petronas in the matter though

I just thought it was useful to give some background that companies currently engaged in Sarawak aren't experiencing immediate change in the way that perhaps we here expected.

No one really knows what's happening behind the scenes ..but I'm betting on all positive noise from Dr Staley.
This stock is not a one trick pony and news of all sorts can spring out at any given time.

Did your contact mention if the Sarawak govt is still in the process of progressing oil contracts in Sarawak or are things on hold until the Petronas issues have been resolved.

Bit below the belt stark. You should know Spangle has more knowledge with regards to oilers than the lot of us put together and doesn't play those games.
