31/1/2018 07:39 | Suggests a Malaysian link for the next asset purchase? | divmad
31/1/2018 07:15 | At a further premium to the last 2 placings. Cornerstone investor who will hold almost 17% means the free float still small. | zengas
29/1/2018 13:38 | Further positive momentum today and steady significant buying. I'm quite excited about this share for 2018 (2 years after I bought in at 1.1!!) | billyboychrisd
28/1/2018 23:33 | That's good to hear but assuming the said posters had been pumping and dumping was totally wrong. | soulsauce
28/1/2018 23:30 | Soulsauce, thanks & trust me, we are on the same side plus I do appreciate the input of the likes of Zengas, Spangles et al :-) | tyler90
28/1/2018 20:21 | OK good luck. | soulsauce
28/1/2018 19:56 | Soulsauce, this is not an AIM stock which is littered with far more 'jam tomorrow' companies and the fact it is on the main market is one of the reasons I invested in here. However, I am not a novice and I have shared my doubts about Optiva in the past. I think they need a more proactive broker. I think there are still concerns around how they plan it fund any deals; there is no clear strategy. As for Steve, he has a good track record but in investment, past performance is never a guide to future performance.I will continue to challenge management until my investment shows a positive return. | tyler90
28/1/2018 12:22 | tyler if you look at Aim it is also littered with stocks that do nothing for many months, sometimes years without increasing and the one day they set off and before you know it they have two or three bagged within days. Then you still like it but you daren't buy in because it has gone up so fast you think it will come back again so you wait and in the next few days it bags again. What I am trying to say is if you like the story and more importantly the mgt, of which there is a lot of sharks on Aim, then it is worth waiting it out instead of chasing around trying to find the next winner. It has been my experience that by doing that I have missed some of the big rises through being bored out of stocks. Look at this board, and look at some of the names. There are none of the idiot rampers on here, YET, and you have got great posters like Spangle, Zengas and caters who know their stuff. What Spangle and Zengas don't know about O&G related stuff isn't worth knowing. But at the end of the day it is your choice and good luck with that. | soulsauce
28/1/2018 11:18 | Caters, held this since middle of 2016; I don't think you can call me impatient. | tyler90
27/1/2018 22:11 | What, only a pretty good chance of 300% across 12 months? Nah, that's not good enough. I want 100% in 6 weeks. ;-) | caters
27/1/2018 16:58 | I get that tyler Aim is littered with them but what I know of Steve Staley is he is much better than that. They have lots of their own skin in the game and they will do the right deals. Stick with it, lengthen your time frame for at least another 12 months and I reckon you could make 300% from here. You can thank me later ;-) | soulsauce
27/1/2018 13:06 | Soulsauce, timescales do matter since the aim of investing is making a specified return within a time period. There are too many directors out there who keep offering 'jam tomorrow' on a periodical basis to keep the shareholders sweet. Nothing wrong with holding a 'critical friend' approach as compared to the herd mentality of 'they can do wrong'. | tyler90
27/1/2018 08:48 | tyler we have secured Wick a very exciting prospect potentially transformative for the company. I am not bothered if the next deal takes another 6 months or more so long as it is the right deal. I would imagine you will be here for the wick drill which is not likely until Q4 so what's the rush. | soulsauce
27/1/2018 01:12 | No, not drunk at all.Just feel we (investors) should not just accept everything that management say as gospel.Could you define me what is meant by 'near term'? 6 days, 6 weeks, 6 months or longer?? | tyler90
27/1/2018 00:30 | By the way, he has just recently announced the wick asset or hadn't you noticed. | sull75
27/1/2018 00:27 | Seriously! Your last couple of comments have surprised me. For someone who is invested in this company why would you make statements like this ? I'm absolutely 100 percent confident in our CEO's ability to make Upland into a multi million pound company. Good things come to those who wait and believe me this will be worth the wait. The trouble with most investors these days is their lack of patience. Can I ask you please not to post such ridiculous comments in the future, you're making a fool of yourself and annoying other investors. Thank you. | sull75
27/1/2018 00:09 | Are you drunk Tyler ? | sull75
26/1/2018 23:48 | Sorry to upset folk but:"Strong, positive near-term news flow potential" LMAOI don't care about Dr SS's previous track record...I will believe when he starts to deliver here.He has been making 'near-term' noises for near enough 12 months now...beginning to sound like an old record. | tyler90
26/1/2018 07:43 | Thanks caters. I've saved up some more money to lose on small oil company investments ;-) | spangle93
25/1/2018 23:16 | Agreed and it's great to see Spangle posting again :-) | caters
25/1/2018 23:02 | I can tell you tyler the discussions between myself, Zengas and Spangle and latterly thejaba are nothing to do with a pump and dump. In Zengas and Spangle you have two very knowledgeable posters on oil companies. You should be grateful they are here. | soulsauce
25/1/2018 22:54 | TylerU seriously have no idea. So if we state what the company have stated u class it as a pump. You seriously need to sort yourself out. | thejaba
25/1/2018 22:52 | TylerU seriously have no idea. | thejaba |
