Could it be that they are replacing the sales managers in France and Germany as bad results and need new blood - Could it be taken as a red flag for poor trading in these countries (I know nothing but a possible interpretation) plus of course the warnings in the last accounts of "As previously announced, the Board therefore anticipates that revenue growth for FY 18 is unlikely. In addition, approximately £4 -5m of FY 18's revenue will now be recognised in FY 19 as a result of the move from FOB to landed arrangements with a key European customer"

Just checked with the company website and actually they are looking for 15 new personnel in January. Includes a Sales Manager in Germany and a Sales Manager in France. From the number of vacancies, the number of graduate trainees being taken on and number of skilled roles (buyers, technologists, designers, sales, technical writers, IT support) doesn't look like a business in decline to me...........

UPGS employ around 230 people. This is a sourcing company not a manufacturing company!

Just done some more research, UPGS currently advertising for 10 jobs on Indeed. Doesn't sound like a company that is struggling to me? Rich

The reason I want the price to rise is so that my shares have some value! Low price is scaring small PIs to sell at bargain prices, which is an opportunity as you say, however my financial prudence is such that as I already have plenty of these; so wont unbalance my portfolio by buying more. I am very tempted though at this ridiculous price...Rich

I agree this is extremely cheap but I can't see why you'd want the BOD to step up with news quickly - surely its great for us the longer this stays cheap?

Hi City Trader - level 2 not showing anything, MMs hiding the amount available to buy etc. I keep doing dummy buys and there's always loads available at the price paid for a small quantity of buys. This share price is being totally manipulated in my view. There's definitely a big seller out there, and no institutional buys at the moment. We really need the BOD to step up with some news quickly. Also some coverage by investors chronicle etc. would be handy. This seems to be the forgotten company! GLA holders, absolute bargain at this ridiculous price Rich

A few reminders and some new research

- Revenue has increased from £50m to £110m in 3 years. Market cap is now £57m
- It pays out HALF of profits in dividends
- The dividend yield is currently over 7% if maintained
- They are expanding into Germany and France, see RNS plus see Sales Managers advertised on their webpage . These are brand new vast markets vs the UK . Germany is biggest market in Europe and I think France is second . Major new accounts open in Germany already
- progress range has been listed in a major UK supermarket since this month - judging by their Tesco.com website ..it’s Tesco and it’s also on their website about launching in Morrisons since Boxing Day so expect pans etc to be in all their stores
- a 1500 sqm show room opens soon in Cologne
- last year they invested £500,000 in IT systems to improve the supply chain
- last year they improved warehousing
- last year they also built a new UK showroom
- debt is negligible it was £6m at year end

Yes it’s a dog right now, but the fall from £2.35 to 70p is quite something given all of the above. The warning was “only” to expect no revenue growth this year...

muzmanoz: Mid value discretionary spend Largely female orientated eg: Debenhams, Bonmarche, N Brown all had bad Christmas figures - Hypothesis (which may well be wrong if the Missus is not spending on clothesfor herself why would she splash out on Kitchen Gadgets)

PUG which customers are these? B&M had good trading figures. Supermarkets fared pretty well. Robert Dyas had good results? Which other customer/competitor has seen its share price drop over 60% in 5 months. I'd like an update just to understand what's going on and what management are doing although I appreciate that might be wishful thinking and that the company might be as bad as its share price suggests.

7.3% div yield now plus hopefully capital gains at these levels. Keep bombarding investor relations folks let’s remind them of their jobs
