initrader I dunno you know I think this may chip up to 10-11p if they sort the funding out. At the momment the company is worth 8 million according to its share price which is not right.

550 quid less costs is ok for half a day's "work" but I think I'll hold for a few more days until an announcement is made. See if I can make a couple of K on this one.

wont get that.......i sold at 8.6 from a buy at 7.5 .....this is as good as it gets .....the stock is screwd.
still 2 mm on 8.5 so its cool for now

I bought in yesterday 50,000 at 7.5p banking on them being oversold. Fingers crossed for a steady recovery to around the 20p mark.

Like i said it was going to be fast and volitile........and it is as was ..........i think we have seen the peak this morning ........but it could go anywhere today .......but be careful and be quick.

Fair game at the end of the day.........the market and this stock have worked well together ........say this company had good news ?........and the market went up 100 points !.......what then the price rise would not be a real long term figure..........but say the news was bad and the price went down and so the market unforgiveingly!.............the market drags all stocks down and giveing a worse picture to investers .......this triggers a sell off ..........but positively give off signals for a bounce when market conditions go more positive ........all i can say is........... this is going to be fast and volitile ......be quick people ......looking good.............. mid morning trading!!!

1. The major shareholder who retired his shares had to be bought probably still an overhang

Trading Update


United Overseas Group plc ("the Company"), the worldwide distributor of
branded consumer goods, announces that trading in the period since 31 December
2000 has been disappointing and consequently the Directors believe that the
Company is unlikely to be profitable in the six months ended 30 June 2001.



As a consequence of this, the Directors believe that it is now essential for
the Company to obtain additional funding in the near future. They have had
detailed discussions with both the Company's bank and with its two largest
shareholders and have reached agreement in principle regarding an injection of
new equity funds into the Company.



A further statement will be made as soon as possible regarding the outcome of
these discussions.

Must admit...I sold this morning..luckily whilst it was 1.25p to the upside. Joined in the fun of the tech bounce.
