28/3/2024 09:07 | · Andrews-1-17 well has a geological chance of success estimated by the Operator to be 75% · Approximate ten-day drilling period to a depth of 5,200 feet · Completion time is swift; approximately eight days including perforating and flow-back if successful | bsg
28/3/2024 08:58 | regarding the Andrews spud, will they use a beam pump or is the oil expected to flow under its own pressure? will the oil be piped or stored for collection by tankers? any indication as to how long it will take to monetise the gas? is there a link to a project plan? thx. | likeawalrus
28/3/2024 08:44 | This US stuff appears almost to be too good to be true. Low cost of drilling, not the same planning delays, no lobbyists and a better fiscal environment, which in the Uk will destroy locally-produced oil and gas. Well done David, I would say at the moment. Everything is a risk, and at least we will find out quickly. | gclark
28/3/2024 08:25 | personally I think the plan to develop / extend / sell gas from Wressle is bigger news than the USA spud, so surprised no rns | currypasty
28/3/2024 08:01 | mark, O&G is a fascinating industry, far more technical than I realised. With the addition of politics, climate change and the environment, one can see why things take so long in this country. wrt the 2030 deadline, this will surely affect Kedd, Penystone & Bisc quite significantly. Unfortunately a lot of our imported oil comes from the US where flaring per barrel of oil is very high. Iran Iraq Russia, etc dont seem to care much so whatever we do in this country will have no significant effect other than making politicians feel good... | likeawalrus
28/3/2024 07:59 | 75% success, this is UJO. So 0% on current form. | bsg

28/3/2024 07:41 | "Completion time is swift, estimated at approximately a further eight days including perforating and flow-back" an interesting read | likeawalrus
