Look UJO have been in bed with Eggedon for years, even lending them money at one point and holding shares in the company. To suggest, as some do, that DB has no say in what's happening is just not credible in my view and even if it were then is it a good idea to 'invest' in a company that is effectively a sleeping partner? Same with the West Newton white elephant.

I tend to think that it's no skin of his nose if the can gets kicked further down the road, which is what is happening and the share price drifts down as a result (with not even a leaked placing to spike it). By delaying things, especially the drill at Keddington, they've missed increasing production at a time when energy prices are relatively high and the regulatory hurdles and costs are not going to get better with time are they.

Curry--It is my opinion that the Water Cut came as a bit of a surprise to US but not to those operators It is usual that when there is a period of regular news and then silence now for 6/7 weeks that the share price will drift south. Suspicions and rumour abound. Shame as part owners of the company that after all this ''radio silence'' that some sort or re assuring statement could not be made---unless of course something bigger going on in background? There I go again -rumour. Very unsettling for all!

I see Heidi has plenty to say today--including I am DB mouthpiece?? Thats a laugh when she appears to be Mark Abbotts mouthpiece--I do not copy and paste personal messages--and have not spoken to DB for a while now--pipe and smoke comes to mind!! My money on Heyco making a difference something needs to happen soon!

uggy you mention rbd (I'm a shareholder too), as you know RBD has recently bought into LNenergy, they say permits likely this year. If the permits are granted LNe has to raise Euro30m to first gas (Euro14m to exercise the option and Euro 16m capex). I suspect they'll be looking to farm out - I wonder if DB is keeping one eye on the project?

toon re banging the drum (or not banging it in DB's case) this is my lse post today

Micky it is tricky for DB, if he has any say in matters I would like him to put pressure on EDR to issue a Keddington update which we are assured in on schedule for H2 (source: heid's emails from MA). If it's on schedule, why not tell us what has been achieved to date and what's next? it would be good PR.
meanwhile Wressle has now passed the 500'000 barrels landmark but not a peep from EDR or UJO, why are these industry "professionals" so foolish that they miss a golden opportunity to big-up Wressle???

Yes law, Egdon have been dreadful & like most AIM companies, their RNS's are to be taken with a pinch of salt. Although I'm not happy with the share price it's doing far better than my 'investment' in RBD !

Egdon RNS 26.04.22
The likely preferred gas monetisation approach will be to export the gas via a short pipeline (approximately 600m) into the local gas distribution network. This will require regulatory consents (Planning and EA) and it is hoped to be completed in time for gas sales during the coming winter.

it's statements like this that demonstrate why AIM RNSs should be treated with caution. The reality is EDR applied for an EIA screening request 13 months after this RNS and is yet to submit a planning application 16 months after the RNS - bring on Heyco!

It's not a personality contest, it's an investment and at the moment it's a poor one.

DB is rightly CEO he made the company from nothing, its a prosperous little company and he has added to percentages at strategic moments, the company has paid dividends to its shareholders.
Can someone please add something else possitive about our ceo? He is a genuine nice chap, I've met him a few times and he does think about shareholders (give him a bit of slack his hands are tied with what's going on with edr, and as for WN it's a waiting game. And as for biscathorpe it's also out of his hands.

Thats what I am hoping for--they would not buy into a PUP and wont want to sit around watching the world go by. I think we have to be patient for w while longer till the acquisition is complete and then light blue touch paper---I will be surprised and disappointed if not!!

tigger on a more positive note, I think heyco are going to be all over this - Wressle and Keddington and maybe Bisc are going to expedited immediately Heyco have control, I cant see them faffing about like Egdon. UJO will be a very different beast in 2 years imo

Sounds as if Edgon needs a bit of a kick up its a---e?? Or this will drift down and down --are they waiting for Biscathorpe to come in before applying for anything else? The silence on anything happening is getting more deafening by the minute. This year so far for all concerned has been a bit of a damp squib--except for their bank balances?

Wressle started flowing 2 years ago this month, all Egdon has achieved on-site in that time is a new bund and separator and the install of 3 C65's...oops sorry they also relaid the tarmac road.

no planning permission for anything else at the moment, just lots of good intentions
